It wasn't long before Gorbus, Claudia, and myself heard about the wars that were about to begin again on the shores of Rainos. Mythron was attacking, no holds barred. I knew I couldn't sit by and just watch it happen. The quest of the book was important, but it could wait. The whole balance of the world could be shifted in this attack by Mythron. I knew Rainos needed my help to help fend Mythron off. Gorbus agreed and told me he and Claudia would hold on to the book while I went to fight with Rainos. Gorbus then gave me a magical token that could transport me to the shores of Rainos and then back to where ever Gorbus was at the time. I then handed the book over to him, thankful for the magic token(talk about cutting down travel time!). Then, Gorbus chanted a few magical words, and the token transported me off in a brilliant white flash.
When the light died down, and my vision become clear, it was obvious that I was on some sort of beach. I knew automatically I was on the shores of Rainos.
Suddenly, behind me, I heard the shuffling of feet in the hot sand.
I shoved the token in my pocket, and then turned, sword ready, upon the intruder.
???: Hold it, friend! Put that sword down! We're all friends here! We're in dire need of your assistance!
Me: You don't even know me! How could you need me?
???: My name is Blain. A soldier for the defenses of Rainos. You wear the colors of Rainos, do you not? Or you not our allies?
Before I could respond, he spoke again.
Blain: Our general heard about the Mythron invasion some time ago, and in fear, he fled. Since then, we've had no leader. And none of us in the ranks are capable of leading soldiers. Can you? Our enemies are only a few hours away. We need you.
I was baffled by his request, but for some odd reason, I agreed.
Blain: Marvelous, friend! Allow me to show you to your soldiers and allies!
Within a few short moments, Blain had all the soldiers lined up for me to examine.
Me: A strong looking group here. Do you have much fighting experience?
As I walked down the line, each soldier gave a strong nod.
As I came to the end of the line, I came across a big strong looking orc with an ill favored look. The same Mythron hating look that most Rainosians possessed.
Orc: My name is Orgug. I fight for Rainos to kill Mythron! My loyalty is unmatched!
Me: I'm convinced.
Me: I look forward to seeing what you can do in the heat of battle.
Around the corner, I spied a small cave orc sipping on who knows what.
Me: Blain! Who is that, and why is he not in the ranks?
Blain: It's no use arguing with that one, sir. All he does is drink and sing. He got recruited somewhere a few miles west of here.
Me: Very well. As for the rest of you. I'm going to be honest and say that I have never led an invasion defense. But I will also say that I am no stranger to fighting or killing. I am sure that most of you are the same way. But I believe that together, we can defend Rainos and hold off your enemies!
Me: I am sure that in just a few short hours, Mythron galleons will appear over that horizon. But we will be ready for them! And we will defend Rainos! For king and country! For Rainos!
Behind me, I heard the soldiers roar in approval as they bashed their shields and weapons together.
Despite their eagerness, I was still fearful of seeing those ships come.
Hours passed, and nothing happened. Until finally, from above, the tower-man spotted sails in the sea.
Below the men were getting restless, as was I.
Finally, from above, we heard the tower-man shout.
Tower-man: Mythron ships ahead! They're closing in quickly! To arms!
Within minutes of coming into view, the Mythron ships closed in on the beach and weighed anchor. Small long boats washed up on shore filled with Mythronians. We gave a large battle cry to let them know we were there.
Me: Charge! For Rainos!
They started running the same time we did, and then finally, we collided.
I quickly locked weapons with the first Mythronian to come my way.
A Mythron soldier lepted by me to advance, but was quickly shot down by Blain in the neck.
A Mythronian arrow whizzed past my head and embedded itself in one of the charging Rainos soldiers near me.
Cave Orc: Gaaaaahhhhh!!!
Orgug quickly slammed his spear against the helmet of a Mythron soldier, dazing him.
A braver cave orc down the beach was stabbed in the neck by a Mythronian sword.
To my right, I could hear another Rainos soldier wrestling with a Mythronian ship crewman.
I finally managed to disarm my opponent and then thrust my sword into his chest, killing him instantly.
Quickly, another Mythronian was shot down.
Orgug then speared his opponent in the chest.
Orgug: For Rainos!
To my right, the Mythronian crewman killed the Rainos soldier, and spurred forward to advance.
But before he could make it through the archway, a familiar cave orc appeared and hit him on the head with a half empty bottle.
The crewman collapsed, and then the orc downed the rest of his drink.
Suddenly, when it appeared the battle was over, a half dead Mythronian stabbed one of my archers in the side.
Orgug then ran and killed the Mythronian for good.
A few moments later, a shout from above came.
Tower-man: They're retreating off the beach! We have victory!
Me: Victory is only for the survivors of any battle.
I then bent down and closed the Rainosian soldier's eyes.
Blain: What now, sir?
Me: We wait for our orders. Or for more Mythronians. Either way, we have some waiting to do. For now, let's just get something to eat and some rest.
Blain: Sounds good.
The Battle of Red Sand had just ended.
Just some figless shots.
Thanks for looking! And remember to please rate and comment!

Fantastic work, Jacob! Your detailing is incredible and the whole MOC is very well laid out. The tower is excellent, and that arch is a great idea. I really admire your building style!

I can see that our trust was well-placed in you! In honor of your leadership, this town will ever be known as Red Sand, and it shall be yours whenever you wish to return to our fair island of Rainos.
That's awesome! Thanks Gilbert! Do you think it would be okay to add it to the main map?

Very nice, although I agree with Thatch that the Mythron soldiers looked more "asian themed" than anything else. Besides that, I loved the tower, the storyline, and the pictures. Great job!
I totally agree with you on the helmets thing. I even laughed myself after seeing them. But, I was short on helmets, and sending them in without head armor would have been suicide.
