I love it! There is so much more you can do with a larger scale that can't be done at minifig scale. This MOC really shows off! |

Nick, you have to post a tutorial for your brickbuilt figures. I just spent a couple hours trying to figure them out and I kept hitting a brick wall!!
First things first, get a large handful of 1x1 bricks with stud on 1 side... thanks Alex, next time I do one I'll show him disassembled :-) |

Well I have finally gotten around to commenting on every R2 build, and more by luck than judgement I think I have saved the best to last - certainly one of my favourites anyway. Lots and lots of lovely details - the typewriter and globe, the minifig legs as curtain tie-backs, the flag-pasta. Not forgetting the less-obvious but still very effective touches like the picture and frame, open book, the cornice and the decision to go studless. I recall from last year's competition your bug and matchbox build and thinking you were stepping outside your comfort zone very ably then and it just keeps going - not a wheel in sight! Well done on advancing, great job. |

Great work, Nick. So this one is all about parts usage. Some impressive vision using the flags as spaghetti, and the fig legs on the curtains is a stroke of genius. Well done on the typewriter as well. I like the representation of gesticulation with the man, especially when he's turning around to look out the window. Perfect MOC. |

I wasn't convinced at first, but the more time I spent looking at your entry the more it impressed me. All the details like the globe, typewriter, and desk drawers are done to perfection. (Even if the resident Lovecraft expert says it's not historically accurate...) You earn my vote, good luck in round three! |

Although LukeClarenceVan... came up with the category, I'm glad to be a judge in this bracket (for reasons that are obvious to those who know me). Apart from your amazing entry, you impress me with your knowledge about Lovecraft that you incorporated into your MOC (although your typewriter model is quite different from the one he (most probably) owned, hehehe). I enjoyed your building techniques and designs so much, that you get my vote. Excellent work, Nick. |

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! Fully realized and purposefully executed. Nick, you've outdone yourself here. Everything is so subtle and cleanly built, I kept having to scan over it again to judge the scale. All the details are superior, the open book, the glass of "apple juice", the furniture, and that perfect typewriter. Delightfully creepy Cthulhu. Exceptional accomplishment! |

I don t know 'lovecraft' or what it refers to, but, this scene is breath taking! I never built on that scale, maybe that s why it impresses me so, the colors, props, details, everything seems to shine, I agree that the solutions you applied are very smart, brilliant piece Nick!!!
