Here is my entry for the countries customs competition, The mighty Nissan Sli80. Before we go any further, I think a bit of history is in order. The Sileighty (Also written as Sil80)originated through early street racers in Japan who owned Nissan 180SXs with damaged front ends. Because the Silvia's front panels and lights were lighter and cheaper than the 180SX replacement parts, many drifters used these parts instead. It was called 'Sil' for the front and '80' for the back. This being a custom car it has some custom modifications, all of which can be seen below in photographic form. So, enjoy...
About this creation
In fact, let's stay at the rear. Where we find the custom tail lights, and the 'Fat boy' racer exhaust, on the slanted angle as normal
Then we have the big spoiler. It can be detached, but why would you?
Behind the seats we have the Nitrous Tank, and between the seat we have the lone speaker
Now to the front. Where underneath the carbon fibre bonnet, we find the classic but legendary SR20DET engine. This one has had new modifications like forged pistons, a custom air filter, sports exhaust, bigger turbo and a new type of crankshaft
With the bonnet, front bumper and wings removed, you can see the beastly engine
Front again: I was very pleased with the front, it looks like the real car, but with a hint of my personal touch
And back to the back as we wrap up the post. Thanks again for looking, please rate and/or comment...THANKS
I like what you've done here. I think it needs a bigger muffler though ;-) I like what you did with the engine bay and the strut-brace in there - it's something I've often wanted to do but never had enough room in there to fit it, so well done. I made a Sil80 a while ago too, please check it out if you like http://mocpages.com/moc.php/350390
