Browning M2 (failed)
After a short break I decided I wanted to do something no one has made yet. So I built (or at least tried to) a working Browning M2 .50 Cal MG!
About this creation
Like I said, this gun doesn't work. It was supposed to work, but I'm tired of it so I leave the job to you. I have instructions (LDD) for those who want to take a shot at it.

If you have got any questions, ask them here.

The gun, right side.

From above/front view.

Not really FPS but more a rear view.

FPS-left side.

The barrel and air vents (I'm quite pleased with how they turned out!). The part with the air vents can be separated from the gun for an easier field strip. It also holds up the barrel a bit, preventing it from hanging down (because of the weight).

The fake bullet (I wanted to make more, but I didn't have enough yellow bricks, so I just made the chain thingy).

The front part of the iron sights (it was a struggle to make it big enough, but not too big and still functional, but I'm happy with how it turned out).

The rear part of the iron sights flipped down (it looks a lot like the iron sights of my M82A1).

Rear iron sights flipped up.

FPS with the iron sight up

Aiming throught the iron sights

The gun 'opened'. Now you can load you bullets!

The colored bricks are the bullets (two 1x4 flat bricks on top of each other). I chose for this kind of bullet because I wanted to make the barrel more round-like.

The 'trigger' and handle.

The bottom of the gun (You have to take the plates of for a field strip).

Field stripped.

How the gun works
A lever stops the bullet from getting in the chamber immediatly.
When the charging handle is pulled, the lever will go up and the bullet can get in the chamber. The lever will automaticly go down.
The charging handle also pulls the hammer backwards. The hammer is underneath the bullet, and the bullet just falls up the hammer.
When the trigger is pulled, the hammer shoots forward launching the bullet.

I hope you understand this explanation.

The whole mechanism.

The front part of the mech.

The rear part of the mech, you can see the lever that stops the bullet from getting in the chamber.

The bolt seen from above.

The hammer.

The tripod:
The tripodis made out of two pieces: the frame and the part that should hold the gun in a horizontal position.
Because the frame collapses when the Browning is placed on top if it, I've put some fishing wires between the 'legs'.
The white bricks are there to hold the gun (the tripod can't hold it's weight).
I believe the coming pictures don't need an explanation.

One last look at this failed yet awesome gun.

Super cool gun! It looks really great. I agree with Clayton, if you can leave it alone for a while and come back to it you may have better luck. Buy anyway you slice it your MOC is wicked.

I wouldn't give up on it it looks great so far. I made a browning once it had a xl motor in it that would make the bolt cycle back around 3 studs saddly I gave up on it and it never got a barrel on it.

Great job it looks awesome! I especially like the tripod. Unfortunately I can't build it, because I don't have nearly enough technic beams!

This reminds me of my M2 Browning replica i built in LDD. Sadly my comp got formatted and I had no backup files. Nice M2 by the way
