My entry into the UC: Aftermath challenge. I lost my old figure for Siris, so I improvised.
I walked on the well-beaten path. It has been over three weeks since Mythron decided to end my existence. Now, I am a wanderer. At least I got a map.
I made a stop in Falmor(a mistake) two weeks back, and I saw posters wanting me dead all around. I had a pretty big reward.I would have been flattered, if I wasn't fearing for my life. I bought a hair color-changing potion from a merchant, and it worked. I also decided to shave myself, to hide who I really was. Next time I saw a Mythron soldier, he didn't recognize me.
So I set off again. I decided to head south. I met ocean. So I headed north. I found myself in Reedus. I decided to go northwest this time, and so far, nothing has happened. And now, I'm a little thirsty. As I'm walking along, I feel a presence behind me.
I snapped around quickly. No one was there.
I knelt near the pond, set my bag aside, and began filling my waterskin.
Satisfied, I took my bag and prepared to depart.
But as I turned, I felt someone or something behind me.
It spoke out. I heard a mans' voice."I am a friend, Siris."
"How do you know my name?" I asked, a little concerned.
"I will keep that a secret. But no matter. I have come to talk. My name is Tyant." he said. He let a quick bow manage.
"What do you want to talk about?" I asked.
"I have com to speak to you about joining the Black Lotus. We have powerful allies, and magical abilities."
Where did he go? I asked myself.
"And we know the strengths of our enemies, and their weaknesses." Startled, I snapped around and backed off, tripping in the process.
"How did you do that?" I asked.
I got up. "I told you: we have special abilities."
"The Black Lotus can give you something you haven't felt for a long time: freedom. You can do what you please, and become powerful. You can have revenge on those that cast you out. You can crush whoever stands in your way."
Revenge. It sounded sweet to me. I could finally-No. I won't do it. I said to myself. I slowly but inconspicuously reached to pull my knife out.
"So, if you accept, meet in Worsan. And if not, well, you better accept."
"Thank you for your proposal." I said and I walked away. But as I reached the edge of the clearing, I stopped.
I turned around, knife in hand. "What if I don't accept? You said I better, but what if I don't?"
"I don't have to think about what will happen to you if you don't accept, because I know you will." He crept closer.
"I can sense it in you. You have to join. You want to join. You need to join. So there is no reason you shouldn't."
Cursing myself, I put my knife away.
He crept even closer. "I will see you again." His breath smelled of something familiar.
"And I will see you again. But not in the way you expect me to."
He stared at me for a moment, then quickly turned around. He began walking away.
Soon, he disappeared.
He is right, I thought.
I need to join. But do I want to? I don't know what to do. I began to follow Tyant, but then I thought better of it.
I will decide my own fate. I will decide what to do. And I will see him again. I turned around and walked away, pondering what Tyant said.
Rocks. I'm not too happy with how they turned out.
Tyant and Siris.
Man, glad that's done. I used my mom's camera, so of course it's better quality. This was photographed on a stormy day, so I'm glad that the pictures turned out alright. Peace be with you all!
