About this creation
The MTU-506 (Mobile Tank Unit) was the primary battle tank of the early Terran Federation while it was still based on Earth. The MTU is still used even as the Federation starts to conquer faster-than-light travel and is mainly used in a strict support manner rather than an offensive role. It is normally positioned far from the actual battlefield and will fire its main gun on enemy trenches and entrenchements, though on the very rare occasion it will be sent alongside frontline troops to provide mechanized support by use of its machine guns. The tank is considerably small compared to tanks before, and is designed to be fast and highly flexible in its capabilities. It is armored enough to withstand most small-arms fire, though several well-placed high-caliber hits can pierce the armor, and anti-armor shells can of course turn the unit into a metal shreds. The tank supports a crew of 4, a driver, front gunner, tank gunner, and tank commander/turret gunner.

In all actuality, this tank has no interior. While basing it off of mikepsiaki's Sherman Tank design on Brickshelf, I could not see how you could possibly fit any passengers comfortably inside the tank. There are also some other fluctualities in the design in which I was forced to improvise. However, I am pleased with my results. Or for that matter, I am please with mikesiaki's tank design. :)

Once again, this tank has no interior, therefore the viewport is fake! Also note the frontal machine gun.

The tank commander wouldn't actually be able to fit inside the turret or tank. I just put him there because I tried to design the turret so he can stand and operate the machine gun.

This design is super narrow isn't it?

The turret can rotate a full 360 degrees, its main gun can elevate to about 40 degrees, and the turret machine gun can rotate left or right, and can point up or down.

With the hatch closed and main gun elevated. This position would be standarized procedure for the support role. (Though in reality, it would be more practical to have the tank commander sitting outside to have a clear view at a faraway target... whoops)

I'm absolutely amazed at mikepsiaki's rubber tread design. Sure, it may not seem much, but to me, this is pretty useful for a guy who has no chain link treads (yet)!

The jeep, truck, and tank all race towards who knows where.
