This is my latest lego head creation built especially for a Christmas show our LUG is displaying in Newport Kentucky across the river from Cincinatti.
About this creation
I have spent several weeks with over 2500 bricks and created what I consider my best creation yet. The more I build, the more I learn about the amazing potential Lego has. Everyone always asks if this was a kit or did I get instructions from somewhere. I have an awesome God given gift to visualize something in my head and then create it from scratch using sand, clay or in this case... Lego. I admit that I do a lot of trial and error, trying multiple ideas, many times taking it all apart and starting over. I have to continually try it on my head and make sure there are no sharp corners left to touch my head and then make sure everything is visually proportional and still have eye holes that line up with my eyes when it is setting on my shoulder. This one is really heavy however very comfortable to wear since it conforms to my back, shoulder and chest.
Jeff as always, you outdo yourself. You continue to improve your sculpting and technique. When I saw you working on it in the basement it was great on,y halfway through. The face, glasses and hat just blow my mind. Awesome work and I can't wait to see it in person.
Thanks everyone for all the awesome comments. Really is amazing how many talented lego artist are on here. Where I live in a small KY town, everyone thinks I am a master builder until I introduce them to MOCpages and they can see how I am a small fish in a huge ocean of creative lego artists. Happy building ya'll!
