Transport: Max. 9-M
About this creation
Space Transport Max. 9-M, or "MAX. 9 M.", as designated in the Inter-Universal Reference Guide for Privately Owned Spacecraft, is a private transport vessel used to transport every kind of good from one place to another. It is owned by a man who takes missions from small and big companies, as well as rich people who can pay a good price, to transport almost anything very efficiently.

It has a cockpit up front and a storage room in the back. Large vents in the sides expel unwanted gasses from the storage room, allowing the craft to carry very special items. The vents can also turn certain gasses into certain other gasses (but only as long as it has the needed chemicals on stock), meaning that it can transport living cargo, both plants and living beings, for a rather long time.
At the very back, it has one big and eight smaller thrusters. The craft makes clever usage of momentum, using the thrusters only in the atmospheres of planets to steer and pick up speed/slow down.

Max. 9-M has carried everything from living beings, over kitchen utensils, all the way to highly gaseous materials that would have poisoned the pilot if not for the large vents.

All in all a really cool craft, right?

The cockpit. Through the very stable graf.zy-glass pane, you can see the pilot's chair and control panels.

The vents. These feature extensive SNOT (Studs Not On Top), and took me over a day just to figure out. They are held together on the inside by a combination of bricks, which was hard to figure out, but seems rather easy when you look at it.

A bird's eye. The problem with this shot is, you can most definitely see the blue smudge I got on that yellow piece when I was five, and which I often tried, in vain, to wash off... But let's just pretend that blue spot isn't there, OK? ;)

The side. The picture is very dark... oh well.

The pack. It looks rather sloppy, but this craft is a transport, and not necessarily made to look good on all sides.

The interior. Here come the only two things that I messed up with this spaceship: One, the chair does not fit a minifigure.

And two... see that door-handle? The door actually has hinges, but can not open, due to friction. Nice, huh?

The rather complicated way to take off the side covering... It was made to stay on. But what else could I do to show the interior?

The storage room is actually there, too, but I forgot that when I made the back, and now you can no longer look into it. Oh well.

Can you tell now why it is called "Max. 9-M"? I left the stickers on this one on purpose so it would look cooler...

That covering was rather hard to figure out. the pieces I was working with were really hard to cover up, and I am happy I actually managed it. In fact, I think It actually turned out very nice. But more on that later.

And a final picture. Well, maybe not that much later.

So, maybe you have noticed by now, but if you haven't, then here it is: The whole thing was based on two of these pieces. I am really happy I actually was able to use them at all, and even happier that what I had in mind actually worked out.

I spent several days on this, and about a fourth of the time alone on the vents, as I said earlier. I think it turned out rather well, and that's good, because this is my 25th creation on Mocpages!!! It is also my second spaceship, and my second creation to be posted today, along with A-75 One-Seat Spacecraft.

I used a lot of SNOT on this, especially the vents, and I am really satisfied with it. I hope you like it!
