With it's reasonable armor, high speeds and high cargo capacity, the Jazz class starfighter is perfect to outrun pirates or local authorities. Therefore, the ship is used mostly by privateers, smugglers and bountyhunters.
About this creation
JAZZ MK-L.01 Starfighter
Hit dat warp button!
Ship opens 2 cargo holds (1 in front, 1 in the back) as well as the canopy. It has 4 deep space sensors on each flank to track surroundings. The weapons: 2 adjustable EM lasers up front and 2 micro-fusion torpedo launchers on each side. The sloped parts look a bit weathered, adding a bit of 'raw' to the ship (I sanded the pieces several years ago to remove the old Alien print).
Back side with cargo hold open and engine detail. Inside shows the rear cargo bay, a ladder provides access to the pilot's seat up top.
Back side closed
Top view. Greebles..
Bottom view, the ship has 2 additonal boosters used for landing and added guidance in flight. It lands on 4 pins, located in each corner.
I love how this opens up for maximum playability. The shape reminds me a little of a nautilus, swimming in the sea.

Great little ship Pico! Love the use of those curved pieces. Reminds me of Daniel Jassim's work. http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/215 I love how complete this feels. Your aesthetic is innovative and wickedly cool. The scale on the engines is perfect for the size of the ship. A tricky balance. Great job, keep 'em coming!
Thanks for your comment Matt! That's correct, Dan has been a source of insipiration and a guy to look up to for years. His creations are awesome. I'll keep 'm coming for sure, really feeling the vibe here, it's fun!

Yes, the bottom bit has some Slave influence indeed! I'll try that Brasso out sometime, as well as the hydrogen peroxide solution for the colouring of grays and whites. Need to get those old bricks back in shape ;) Thanks Emil

Very nice design, a bit like the Slave only cooler:) By the way, you can get rid of unwanted print with Brasso instead of sanding, unless you really want that rustique look:)
