Scale model Car cherry picker
Did you ever like to see a realistic lime scale model? Then this is the right MOC for you! This cherry picker is a scale model of the photo below. Moreover, also the right colours are used: the rare colour lime, white and black. The cherry picker has a lot of IR power functions and… lights in the dark!
About this creation

4x PF M-motor
-One M-motor for steering
-One for turning the turntable
-Another M-motor is used for the four outriggers
-The last M-motor is used for extending the boom
2x PF XL-motor
-One for driving
-One for raising the boom
To let these power functions work wireless, a PF battery box and three receivers were added, besides two PF lights.

As you can see, this is the real model.

This photo shows the steering function. It is powered by one PF M-motor laying behind the right front wheel. It was nice steering and driving with this model, which you can see too in the video below.

Because of the other functions needed in the super structure, the only possiblity to power the turntable was with a worm gear. Gear ration is 1:1 and only U-joints were used to power the worm wheel with the M-motor, laying behind the back wheel. That transmission is efficient, no power is lost in gears.

These photo’s show the outriggers. I included a driving ring to choose between or
-1-lowering the front outriggers and extending the back outriggers
-1-lowering the back outriggers with two pf micro cilinders.
The back microcilinders are so powerfull that they lift up te model. You can see this in de video. But how does this work? This is explained in the photo below. You have Case A and case B and the function of the driving ring is explained visually.

The boom is extended by one M-motor under the cabin. A worm gear is used to avoid large (and heavy!) gear boxes at the end of the boom. The platform is also as light as possible.

The driving motor XL is not very interessant, only that the model is so heavy that the one XL-motor was not able to power a gear box of four gears ánd the model. This was the reason I excluded the gearbox and used more powerful Lego material around the differentials. Now they don’t slip, even when you’re steering. This was not easy, because the back wheels have also spring suspension.

This photo shows a part of the driving mechanism of raising and lowering the boom with one XL-motor. The tan gear drives all the driving rings around the axle and these, in their turn, drive the 16-teeth gearwheel that drives the final cilinder via the U-joint. The whole system is in the photo below

They clicked ánd watched, because by You Tube "analytics" the graph is stable on a high level.

But it means that people clicked on the video 140000 times, but it isn't sure that they watched it completely. But the truck is still great! :)

The one that adviced to upload a shorter video: In the past I uploaded a video of the JCB tractor, which was 15 minutes long. (reference video) I also uploaded a commercial video of 3 minutes. Now, after a couple of months, the longer video has 140000 views and the commercial not the half of that. So sometimes longer video's are sometimes even more popular! But thank you for your comment, I will do something with it when designing the video for the upcoming model!

Great truck with cool functions and clever solutions! But I think the video is too long, people don't look it. Shorter videos around 3 minutes are better! :)
