My entry to Round 3 of the Brickbattle Games!
About this creation
Zach Lucia vs Abby Francis
Category: Pillage Ye Boats!
Pirates once sailed on the oceans. Build a MOC of pirates attacking a ship or a town.
The working link to the contest.
And the working links to my incredibly talented opponent, Zach Lucia and his epic entry!!!
The villagers, just strolling in the village, OBLIVIOUS to the danger that will soon come.

But than suddenly, the pirates... wait for it.... ATTACK!!!!

In the middle of the attack on the village. As you can see, there are sad results from the pillaging of the pirates. Its funny but when I showed my family, they all were like, "Is that guy dead?!" I was like... yes, yes he is.

I am really happy with how the houses turned out. I was inspired by David Hensel's CCC XI-Crows Nest and Luke Watkin's The Jester's Prestige and though my houses aren't exactly like theirs, I still liked the idea.

The pirates.

The villagers.

This is a lonely pirate that didn't fit in the picture with all the rest.

Okay, so two funny stories about these two pictures. The first one, is the frog. My brother's fiance saw the frog, thought it was the cutest thing ever and decided to sit it on the corner of the house... Really, for no reason. I decided to leave it.

This second picture, is from my brother.. the 22 year old engaged brother. He was like, "Abby, show me your LEGO thing!" So I did. He said that THIS is what I should have done with it.

Thank you to my WONDERFUL friend, Summer Pasquine for helping me caption all the pictures. Here is the link to my homepage, if you liked me that much!
ALLONS-Y!!

Nice job! I, also, try to look to the greats for inspiration! Next time, see if you can find enough flat pieces to leave off the clip and wheel pieces, since they make the houses look slightly mechanical. Nice job on the path and the minifigs, though! |

Definitely very close. Your opponent's landscaping was excellent, but your masterful buildings and clear pictures won you my vote. |
|
While the layout is pretty good, I don't really like the textures on the buildings, they look more like sci-fi greebles than stonework. |

Ah, I commented on another one of the original eight or so :D Haha, all I said was that I thought the action was portrayed excellently, and the textures were awesome, if a bit overdone on the one building. But this is going to be exciting! Can't wait to see where this one goes. Well done Abby! |
