Earthquakes are devastating and tragic natural events. They strike in an instant, leaving behind crumbled buildings and destroyed lives. After an earthquake, rescue crews must carefully search the dangerous rubble to rescue survivors...or recover the bodies.

Overview with no minifigs.
With walls, no minifigs 1. It's roughly 18 2/3 bricks high.
With walls, no minifigs 2. There is a minuscule amount of overhang due to some of the techniques, but it is almost nothing.

I am very pleased with how this turned out. It may look haphazard, like I just threw a bunch of pieces together, but it actually took a good deal of time to make it sturdy and look good. I saw the exposed rebar technique somewhere on Flickr, not sure who made it, but I really like the effect. I also really like the parts I combined on the rescue guy.
I'll start off by saying that as this contest moves further along, it gets harder to judge the entries! The wall and rubble was quite impressive, and I like the exposed rebar thing you mentioned! Overall, I liked your build better and I give you my vote! However, the presentation, I think, could definitely use some improvement - sideways pictures and yellowish light doesn't exactly bring out the MOC if you know what I mean. Good luck with the other judges!
