This tank, like the M37, was developed off of the M24 Chaffee. The primary difference is in the M41's heavier gun and better armor, as well as a smaller profile and a closed top. Its engine was moved to the middle of the tank and the gun moved to the rear.

This model was, like the original tank, built off of the same chassis as the M37. This is why their treads and front ends look basically the same. The way I did this was by copying the M37 model, stripping it to the treads and the base, and starting afresh. This cut my build time down a fair bit. This tank, unlike some earlier ones, had no spots where I wanted to rip my hair out. Nothing really refused to work, which was nice. All in all, this model was fun to make.
