- So what do I get for my money?
- Four wheels and an engine.
About this creation
The Grizzly LRV is Gaufran's newest vehicle, built for speed and survivability over armour and firepower, but it still packs a punch.
Designed to fight a highly mobile war, often behind enemy lines, the Grizzly has become renowned for its high crew survivability. They have become loved by special forces. This one belongs to one of our desert airborne units.
With the turret fitted, it can only seat three, but without, up to four men can cling on for dear life in the back, as it bounces along.
Roll cages protect the more fragile parts of the vehicle. I loved the look of these on the Halo 4 Warthog, and I have always wanted to make a realistic, modern military style 'Hog.
The turret can mount an ATAM Launcher (Advanced Top Attack Munitions Launcher)to give the grizzly some anti armor punch.
Top view. The windscreen and missile targeting screen are made out of a reinforced laminate glass, that can take high velocity cannon rounds without shattering or severely impairing vision.
I like the look of these floodlights. very in your face!
The drivers seat. Well, no seat actually, it is a tight squeeze for a figure.
Details on the roll cage. The front bumper is designed for ramming.
It has a 450 Horse power engine, propelling it up to 120 Mph on roads, and 75 off road.
The tires have an outer layer of Kevlar reinforced rubber, with inner tubes formed of a nanotube strengthened lattice. Tire pressure is regulated by an onboard computer. It has suspension built in too.
The Second armament option, a Mk 54 35mm airburst munitions launcher.
Fully automatic, it is designed to force enemy infantry out of cover.
The back of the Mk 54
The ATAM launcher is removable, and can be operated by a two man team.
I built an underside too. there is a shovel and fuel can under there as well.
Some shots with a diorama.
Thanks for looking! Just something to prove I haven't dropped the bricks for good!
