Today I'll make a small review and take a look in my LEGO creations I made in 2013. Also, there is a picture of one of my MOCs, with some improvments, the Top 5 of my 2013 MOCs and a special message for you :)
About this creation
Hello guys! 2013 was a year where I learned lots of new building techniques and the quality of my MOCs improved a lot. Let's take a look in the stuff I made over this year.
In 2013 my MOCs where esentialy cars. In 2012 I made a little collection of Star Wars microscale ships and a few working soda machines, but in 2013 I decided to dedicate my time creating cars, because I love cars.
What was my favourite MOC of 2013? Absolutely it was Lexus LFA, it's my most original MOC (I only searched for inspiration and building techniques, my car was the first 6 wide Lexus LFA so I had to figure out for myself how to build it), also it's my most complex build with lots of cool techniques that took me a lot to create, because one of my main goals was make all the parts where fixed to the car and would not break when touched.
Now, did you look carefully to the main picture of this page? That 5 cars are the only MOCs I have still mounted. I don't have much LEGO parts, so when I build something not really good or that I don't like really much, I usually dismout it to use the parts in other projects. That 5 cars are my favourite MOCs ever. From left to the right: DeLorean, this is a MOD of a car I really love, and I think this car is so detailed; Toyota Hilux, a MOD I think it's really functional and cool, in 2014 I'll update it; Lexus LFA, my favourite MOC ever, I'll never dismount it; Toyota FJ, a MOD of the LEGO set 4433, it's nicely detailed but in 2014 I'll add more functions to it; Andy Motors Le Mans, a fictional car I invented and I really love it, also I'll never dismount it.
The minifig is my LEGO mini me ;D
This is another picture of my still mounted cars: only my Tiny Turbos.
And now a close look to the Toyota Hilux: It has a new front bumper, since my last pictures of it. This bumper uses better techniques than the last one, and it has now the flashing lights, a space for the licence plate and a tow chain. I have a lot of ideas for also build in this pickup, in 2014 I probably will show it to you.
And, to finish, the ranking of my Top 5 creations I made in 2013. I created this ranking using only the feedback of MOCpages, Flickr, Comunidade 0937 and PLUG members. I also wrote a little paragraph about my opinion of each one. Just to remember, the #1 is the best, the #2 is the next one...
#5- DeLorean DMC-12, this is not a MOC, this is a MOD I created of the Nils O. DeLorean. I love the real life DeLorean and also I think Nils O. one is awsome, so I built this for me with a little changes.
#4- AM Le Mans, this MOC did not received a really big feedback from MOCpages users, but in Comunidade 0937 and PLUG the other members thinked it was really cool. I also love it's design and it was my first nice looking car. By the way, this is not a real car, it was invented by me based on the 70's Le Mans cars.
#3- Ghostbusters Ecto-1 updated, I made a first version before this one, but it was not so cool. With some changes, this replica of the Ghostbusters car looked a lot better, and it received a really nice feedback in all places I showed it.
#2- Lexus LFA, not really much is still to say, I already talked about this MOC before in this page.
#1- Renault Magnum, personally I prefer Lexus LFA to this one, I this it's not so good like that. But anyway I'm really happy with this MOC and it received a awsome feedback here in MOCpages.
Well, I guess I can finnally close this year of MOCing. Please, don't expect that I'll build so much thing in 2014 like I built in 2013, the school and my other hobbies are taking a lot of time that I usually built with LEGO. Anyway, I'll hope that, instead of quantity, my 2014 MOCs will have quality, and in the first times I'll probably only present updates of my actual MOCs, mainly Toyota FJ and Toyota Hilux I have a lot of ideas for them.
And, thank you a lot to everybody that saw my LEGO creations. It's thank to you that I improved my building skills, and I tryed to make my most recent MOC always better than the last one. Without your feedback, I would never grown up has a LEGO builder.
