For years I thought that John Player was a man who designed special racing cars. Then again I thought that Fray Bentos was the name of the chef on the tinned pies until I looked at a map of Argentina properly 5 years ago. A lovely 70s F1 car, complete with 70s studded goodness :)
inspired by two classic sets, now fully functional and looking brilliant! all with classic parts and techniques. you my friend, are a genius. XD P.S. good luck to MS and his head injury. i wasn't a big fan either, but no one deserves this. best of luck to him.

Very nice! The Blacktron color scheme is certainly an improvement over the original, as are the functional steering and V8 engine.
Haha! Way cool. Great upgrade and style change from the original. Always so cool to see a top builder use an old not so great Legoset as inspiration now and again and make a winner. Just makes for a fun build.
Ha! Never realized the John Player Special paint scheme was actually Blacktron. Utterly brilliant build. Was always more of a Mika fan but without Schumacher, their battles wouldn't have been so spectacular. I wish him all the best as well. Excellent!
Nice work Nick! I've also got a few classic space builds coming up, so I can especially relate to the color schemes. I've never watched Formula 1, but I do have a lot of respect for Schumacher, and just like you, hope gets through this just fine....
Marvellous stuff - very retro (and wonderfully playable too). I'm not Schumi's biggest fan either, but having gone through the same thing over the summer I feel a certain affiliation now. Sadly the outcome is random - no-one will know how he's going to be for a while yet. I'm still learning myself. Anyways, 5/5 - simple but awesome : )
