Black Royales Robot Chop-Shop
A mad scientist in the employ of Blacktron City's most prominent mafia plays with stolen robots just how you play with new lego sets - rip 'em apart and put 'em back together while they scream.
About this creation
Cities always breed crime, and the Blacktron Capital is no stranger to this, not by a long shot. The Black Royale Crew began as just one of many gutter-brawling street gangs, but quickly rose to prominence. Now they deserve the rank of "organized crime," a mob within the Blacktron mob. Ask anyone who runs Blacktron City, they'll whisper "Black Royales, purple and black!" and shuffle off, warily glancing over their shoulder.

Raycine Sparksaw has risen high enough in the ranks of the Black Royales to indulge in her favorite passion; bot-chopping. For her, there's nothing quite like the thrill of hacking (physically and digitally) stolen bots, breaking and re-coding their minds, and setting them loose on the path of mayhem.

The Shop

Raycine's two robot assistants, built into her shop. Boa on the left holds stolen Bots tight, and houses the cyber-neural hack/patch equipment. Mr. Hands on the right does a lot of the physical work; dis- and re-assembly, reqiring, mod grafting. Victim bots are usually kept as aware as possible while in hte care of Boa and Mr. Hands; Raycine likes to hear their pleas turn to gibberish as their logic centers come undone.

A stolen standard robot is forced into Boa's loving grip.

The Bot-I Snatcher

Raycine's hand-built heistmobile, the Bot-I Snatcher is perfect for robot poaching; small, maneuverable, fast, v-tol capable, and silent in the air. It's armed with a couple of pulse-lasers to deter Blacktron Official interferance with her sport. The main armament of the Bot-I Snatcher is the downward-angled Scrambler on the nose, which fires a combo of Oscillating EMP and tight-beamed viral tramsmissions, which renders most bots stupid in one short burst.

Raycine sneaks up on a particularly juicy target; a top-of-the-line Black Oppressor robot.

Bagged him!

The cast: Standard Blacktron Bot, Raycine Sparksaw, Black Oppressor

Alt 1: DoomSlinger!

In a fit of mad inspiration, Raycine dismantled the Black Oppressor, Boa, Mr. Hands, and all her stolen robtos, and cobbled them back together into this monstrous mayhem-maker. With all the Oppressor's behavioral limiters disabled and red-lining in battle-reflex mode, this many-armed Shiva-beast and its unshielded reactor cannons create no end of chaos in downtown Blacktron City.

Raycine hovers behind in her new flight suit, supercharged pistol in one hand, override controller for the DoomSlinger in the other.

Alt 2: Street Racing!

A couple of slick hoverboards for tearing up the backstreets and wasted barren plains outside the Blacktron Capital.

Scrappy the robot records the races and is ready with extra fuel.

Builder's note: I first built this in straight Blacktron colors as my entry for the CSPMCII. Then I read the rules (usually a better idea to do that first, innit?). So I redesigned/repainted in black and purple. And then I got an idea for soemthing even better for the contests - bigger, cooler, and much more in line with the exploratory/nonviolent aspect of Classic Space. See it here!
