Maintenance Hangar 23, found of the Foundry of Hephaestus, a massive fleet tender. The Hephaestus houses some of the most advanced hangars and manufacturing facilities aboard a vessel in the GAIA navy. The work staff on the vessel receive a minimum of three years of training before being allowed a chance to serve aboard. The skills of those who work aboard are known throughout the populated systems, and lead to many successful careers after retirement from service.
Maintenance Hangar 23 - Crew Chief Douglas Spanner(2nd from left)
"Alright everyone, the fleet just finished a combat sortie. We can expect to see some birds coming in soon, as there was some pretty intense action. Don't worry, we had minimal losses."
Junior Deck Crew - Adam Socket (Center Frame)
"Well, I don't want to say anything, but I did see Tim on the flight deck earlier. If anyone bit it, it was probably him. I don't know how they let him fly."
-Loud Speaker- "All deck hands, decontamination and preliminary maintenance complete. Prepare stations to receive fighter craft for repair or salvage."
Journeymen Dave Axel (Far Right)
"Here we go boys, time to earn those overalls. Hey who's that?"
Greenhorn Tim Tim
"Hey 23, you should have seen the action out there! We gave those Draggone the what for!"
Greenhorn Tim Tim
"You guys wouldn't mind taking a look at ol' 501 for me? She took bit on the chin out there."
"Sweet mother of mercy! Is there anything left of her? Axel, check the comp, make sure we're not on salvage duty."
"Whoa, take it easy with cranes up there! She's had a rough day, slow it down a touch."
If she crumbles now, I don't think they'll ever let me leave the flight deck again.
Journeymen Steve Mallet (Center Frame)
"Yikes, I wonder what hit him to deal that much damage?"
Master Tanner Bolt (2nd from Left)
"Well last time that was a support beam on the ROOF of the flight deck, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the floor this time."
"Well have fun mates! I see she's been cleared for maintenance. I best get topside, the debriefing will start in a few."
"Alright, that's the deck. I'll unhook it before those slackers up top forget they're still attached to whats left of her."
Crane Jockey 1
"Everything good down there? We clear to raise out?"
Crane Jockey 2
"Eh, give 'em a minute. Looks like we're still hooked up. After that we'll head back to the break room. They'll be on this one for a while."
"Alright jocks, you're clear."
"On the bright side, front hydraulics are holding up nicely."
"But that's about it."
"I can't believe they want us to patch this wreck. Well, I'll get that M-Hat open."
"Hold up on that Axel. Spot us while we move this over a bit."
"How you doin over Adam, that's just the start of the work. You look beat already, ha!"
"Lets get the hood off anyway, take a good look at the engine."
"Good work Adam, you'll be hammering those dents out in no time at this rate! Lots of practice today."
"Well, the pits alright, just a few adjustments to make. I'm glad the deconn boys got this first, I can only assume what color this seat was a few minutes ago."
"Clear the M-Hat, I'm opening 'er up."
"Alright M-Hat clear, and the hoods off. Lets see what the damage is."
"Not bad at all actually. I think Tim was off a bit. Didn't take in on the chin, just everywhere else."
"That's fine, just get the engine tuned and the guns fixed. I'll see about tightening some of the bolts."
"Well manufacturing got our order in, new thruster's ready. Hey Chief, want to make sure I get it installed right?"
"Looking good Adam, just tighten it down, and check your lines."
"Engine looks good. Lets throw the hood back on. I'll just need some more time on the under side here. The rest is fine."
"Works for me. The less clutter the better."
"Alright, the wings are here, lets get them installed."
"Boys, stop what you're doing. I need you to do some more lifting."
"Nice and quick Adam, we don't want to hold this too long."
"That's good enough, help me get the other one on Adam."
"Hold it steady, just a couple more welds... and its done."
"A few more spots back here, and we'll be finished soon."
"Y'know, despite how she looked on the way in, 501's in good shape. Comp's only showing a few small issues. Maybe the deconn boys were just a little overzealous in stripping her down. I guess Tim's getting better."
"Need a hand Tanner? I'll pass the rockets too you, and you hook 'em up."
"Sounds good to me."
"Alright boys, Comp's showing green all across. That's a wrap!"
"Well that wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Now just need Richard to get over here and fuel up."
Fuel Transfer Engineer Richard Sparks
"Hey 23, you guys ready for fuel already? Good on ya!"
"Still don't know why Richard's job is even a thing. I could do it myself. No offense Richard!"
"None taken, it is easy, but its not just rocket fuel ya know that right? There's a bit more goin on here. Take the course, then you can live it easy like me!"
"Thanks guys, I'm glad to 501 looking fighting fit again! The deconn boys were concerned about some goo from a Draggone fighter that plastered itself on my wings. Was eating right through the old girl. They told me she'd be right, but I didn't want to loose the old girl."
"Hey Tim, as long as the damage is from the enemy, we're not even upset!"

Okay, here are my points: I see no real drawbacks, here. You´ve created a really cool, authentic and functional looking hangar, with a sweet fighter craft. The reconstruction process was a great idea! Only the fun point came a little too short, imo. Still, a very fine entry! You get 44 points! ~Marc
A good story, well told and paced. I like the hangar too. My favourite part is the fighter, especially the colours that you've chosen, which remind me of the early V bombers, in their anti-flash white scheme.
I like it

That is some inspired genius right there! Fantastic hangar, love the "underbelly". Great idea to just put a fighter together, apparently there is some assembly required in them. =] Awesome!
