The Clibanarii (from the Greek, κλίβανος, meaning camp-oven) were a Sassanid Persian, late Roman and Byzantine military unit of heavy armored horsemen. Similar to the Cataphracti, they themselves and their horses were fully armoured. There are several theories to the origins of this name, one being that the men were literally nicknamed "baking oven men" (due to the amount of armour they wore) or that the name is derived from Persian word griwbanwar or griva-pana-bara meaning "neck-guard wearer"

Clibinarii didnt use shields..they would sometimes use bows then clsoe in on enemies with maces, clubs or Patas (Persian gauntlet-sword weapon)I love the helm but dont like how you made the spear longer.... try a "3-long" technic pic (grey). peace~~William

This minifig looks okay... Plus, all your photos are of the same view. The helmet looks nice but next time try giving him a decal on his standard or armor, or both.
