From the first time I saw the Lantos in artwork for Lego City Undercover, I thought it was a really cool and unique design for a Lego race car. I was really hoping it would be reproduced as 60053. I was a little disappointed when I saw the first pictures of that set, so I thought it'd be fun to make a few versions of the Lantos in LDD instead. After struggling to build the Lantos from Lego City Undercover pictures, I found a handy .pdf of the instructions at Amazing Brick Creations and built two models of the car based on real-life paint schemes of the Ford GT-40, which looks like a big inspiration behind the Lantos. On the right is the famous Gulf Oil livery.
In Holman Moody colors - the DayGlo "mustaches" may be incredibly ugly, but they serve a purpose. The team applied DayGlo green and pink ID patches to help them distinguish one car from the other during a race.
Could you provide an updated link to that .pdf, please? I clicked the link and it said that the page couldn't be found. When I just search for it, it comes up with a weird Japanese site. I would love it if you could link the instructions or even the download for the LDD file. Thanks.
