I decided to go for some extra points and give this entry a story!
"Guards!" Philip ordered, "Open the gates!"
The gates were swung open. A company of armed men approached the gates and entered the fortress.
"Hail Lord Philip!" Said one, "We came as soon as you sent news."
"Hail!" Philip replied, "You come none too soon Sir Fredrick! Do you bring news of the enemy? Have they crossed the bridge?"
"Yes, my lord." answered Fredrick, grimly, "Sir Charles has fallen and his army scattered. The enemy has come in greater numbers than we had anticipated."
"Then we can only man the walls and hope that our allies will arrive quickly." Lord Philip said, gravely, "Do you bring many provisions? We have enough to last a few more days."
"We bring little," Fredrick said,"but we will give what we can."
Just then two commoners came running through, shouting.
"The enemy is upon us!" They exclaimed, "They have taken the village and are moving steadily onward."
"We must hasten!" Lord Philip ordered, "Sir Fredrick, lead your men and array your defenses on the wall. I will take mine and defend the gates."
"I go, my lord!" Sir Fredrick said, "Follow fast men!"
The soldiers of Lord Philip began shutting the gates, while the two men from the local village yelled and ran.
The enemy would be here soon, thought Philip. He and Sir Fredrick must be ready.
"Secure the gates!" He said.
Some bonus pics. Boy! I love castle scenes! :P
That wall technique I got from Grant Davis' Helms Deep . Thanks Grant!
Builders notes: Though I've put a white backdrop in each of my builds for a long time, I've never really thought about how much better it makes each picture look. I mean, I have, just not a whole lot. :P Thanks to all the people who told me I should try it! Anyway, that was kinda random.
Well that's it folks! Please rate and comment! If there's anything you can point out that I need to work on, tell me! :D
Also, good luck to all the other people that are competing!
