About this creation
When I woke up, I still didn't have any idea what to do. I had only one lead, but it was the best I'd had in weeks.

I called Chief Hoe Ten to me. "I don't like it." He said. "Angels...I saw an Angel once, Achilles. It came to my village. We didn't see much of it, the creature only spoke to the eldest man, and when they were finished, they left together. Neither were ever seen again." "I understand my friend, but I need you with me on this. Fayku hates me, Tofruil is injured, and Nostriel is in Falmor on official Mythronian duty." I said. He nodded solemnly. "I will come, I owe you my loyalty. To whatever end."

The Temple of the Fallen Star turned out to be a huge building, surrounded by the weirdest scenery I'd ever seen. On one side was a mountainous wasteland, and on the other was a sprawling forest. The Temple itself was as tall as the mountains.

Chief Hoe Ten and I made our way in through the wastes. "I can feel the power here. It is...wild...harsh...and unforgiving." The Chief said.

We stopped. "I agree." I said. "But we have to go in." The Chief didn't protest.

The temple was just as big on the inside. We made our way up and up for what felt like days, until we finally came to the top. A man in dirty wrappings was standing by a window. "An Angel." The Chief whispered. "I know why you have come, Achilles." It said.

The Angel's voice was as sharp and precise as a surgeon's scalpel, with the authority and power of a king. It approached us. "I am an Angel." I wasn't sure. I could feel the power, sure, but he didn't look like an Angel.

"You don't believe me?" The Angel sighed and turned its back on us.

It arched its back and made a low, guttural cry of pain, and two golden wings exploded from its back.

The Angel turned back to us. "Is this better for you? Do you believe me now!" The Angel bellowed, and I felt a wave of anger surge through it and the ground beneath my feet. It calmed slightly. "Now, there are a few ways to kill a demon. The metal stormonite is rare, but is dangerous to them, but any blade dipped in the blood of an Angel is lethal to anything in creation." I wasn't satisfied. "What about a way to seperate a Demon from its host?" The Angel shook its head. "That is old magic. Very powerful...give me time and yes, I may be able to find a way. But it will take time."

"We don't have time." I said, conflicted. "Do you want my blood, or not?" The Angel asked impatiently. I held out my knife. "Yes. Please."

No sooner had we finished with the knife than we were suddenly rushed by a group of orc raiders. "It would seem they followed you." The Angel mused. I expected it to fight, but instead it retreated to the window and waited.

Chief Hoe Ten and I attacked the Orcs, trying to keep them away from the Angel.

However, even our best efforts couldn't stop one lone orc breaking through our lines and swinging his blade at the Angel's neck.

The Chief and I despatched the last of the orcs, but it was too late; The Angel's head had been hewn from its shoulders.

We stood back and looked at the Angel. "Is it dead?" I asked. "I do not know, but its power has left this place."

As if on cue, pieces of rock began falling from above. The Chief and I turned to flee.

We ran alongside orcs, too busy running for their lives to fight us.

We stopped outside the Temple. The orcs had scattered, and we were once again in the wastes.

A deafening roar was still sounding behind us, accompanying the collapse of the Temple. We turned to watch.

The Temple of the Fallen Star crumbled, exploding and falling against the mountains. It was over. It was over and I had next to nothing to show for it. No friends, no Angel, no solution, nothing but a knife that I could use to cut my son's throat. In retrospect, I suppose there was no other time I could possibly have had to face the apocalypse.
