About this creation

2014 Mocathalon

Team: The MOCing Maniacs

Category: Civilian Mecha: Build us a mech and pilot for a non-military application. We love those railguns/ rocketpods/power fists too, but in a world where we could conceivably build hard-suits, exo-frames, mecha, etc. then letís assume we could find a use for them that doesnít involve blowing each other up.

After years of torment from "Man's Best Friend", Dave had had enough. Using surplus materials found from decommissioned mecha and hardsuits, Dave put together a safe method to complete his route in a timely manner. Being a stalwart and loyal postal worker, he made sure to add many things that would create a safe and non-threatening vehicle for his job.

Dave chose colours similar to his postal uniform, so he would be instantly recognized as a letter carrier, and not something to be feared.

To be helpful, Dave made sure that the hours of operation were visible, and that the price of postage was up-to-date. His windscreen keeps him safe inside the control area in any weather.

Dave made sure there was adequate room for not only letter mail, but also parcels and packages. He delivers many 'plain brown boxes' to the fans of Lego on his route. Safety lights were added, as were 'pockets' where he carries little treats for his new four-legged friends.

An extend-a-hand allows Dave to reach every mailbox on his route! No more sore backs!

Have a great day Dave!

Dodge, great job fitting your mech into the category. Overall, it looks clean and well executed. However, it seems a bit bulky and straightforward. Best of luck with the rest of the MocAthalon. Score: 3

Nice. I don't know what else to say because it is just so well built and I can't find anything whimsical to say.

Thought about this one for a while. First of all it's an awesome mech great color scheme and some great details like the letter bags and package storing compartments. I just think maybe a few more greebles or technical details could have pushed it up a little more. A strong 4
