Team: Five Bricks of Flame. Category:The Dog Ate my Homework: Heard that one a million times. But, show us YOUR best reason for not having it to hand in. Did it get caught in the garage door opener? Did you get attacked by a bus full of angry penguins? What's your excuse, mister?
About this creation
2014 Mocathalon

Well, It was a nice afternoon, and I was diligently working on my homework (of course, what else would I be doing, playing Legos?) in the second floor of our apartment. And suddenly, there was a horrific crash, and the whole outside corner of my room shattered and fell! I jumped away from my desk,(I was working on my homework, mind you) And to my great consternation, I saw a Massive Hornet looking down the hole it made when it landed on my house! Of course with this crazy event, I was unable to finish my homework, much less bring it to school.

And there I am, completely disconcerted by this unlikely turn of events.

The not-so-beautiful front of the building.

The "Far Side", and yes that is an easter egg, showing my mom when the crash took place. (she was popping something into the oven) I was unable to upload the closer picture I took of it.

Ahh, my pride and joy, "the Hornet". This was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I think it turned out exceptionally well.

The all new abdomen, using tires to form the symmetry.

Hornet-less

yeah, he was enjoying himself, :P

I was very pleased with the way this interior turned out, please note the ceiling fan and door…

The other far side, (this building is designed to look like a portion of an apartment, hence the flat roof. :)

Rubble.

C and C are appreciated!

That is an amazing Hornet, the building is great. But you should've done something to the outside of the MOC.

Nice job with your creation. Your hornet and bedroom were very nicely executed. As you probably already know, however, the lawn and actual apartment building are very basic and could have used some extra work on. Score: 3

Thanks, I wasn't really giving a lot of effort to the exterior… my bad.

Those hornet wings are epic! The tire technique is nice, too. The apartment building itself doesn't look bad, maybe just remove some of those tiles on the walls. ;P The gap in the corner is great, and I like the interior of the room as well. I guess the only thing that could use sprucing up is the lawn. Maybe a few hedges and a tree would've topped it off? ;) Overall, very, very nice work. Thought at least one of the judges would've given you a four. Oh well, we'll see. Keep up the great builds!

A very interesting build. The hornet is a hoot. I like the tires being used to form its body. The hole in the house is very realistic. Now which is worse, the dog eating your homework, or my dog eating my paycheck?

This just hilarious, mine will be very creepy and will be posted tomorrow. I love the hornet, it looks great and the house, although plain grey is very detailed and cool. If I was a judge (and I am the least strict judge ever not like the MA judges) I'd give this a very strong 5. Well done T.J!
