"Bigger is better!" -America
50 inches wide, 11 pounds, 4000 pieces. The only thing that makes this plane cool in real life is its size and the weird engine mounts.

Hi Bill! Thank you for commenting on my first year. I think you have plenty to proud of, the B-36 is indeed very good, with more than fifty likes. Somehow I missed commenting on it, but I think the overall shape is really good, and the size is most impressive.
Thanks! If I ever find some time to do it, another large plane will be seen soon... SPOILER ALERT! A KC-135. |

Good work. I especially like the propellors. I think the nose could have used some work, but since this has long been deconstructed there's not much to do about it now I suppose. Maybe something to consider for future builds. Overall though, great work. Keep it up!
I heartily agree with you on this plane. I really didn't intend for it to be built, but before I knew it I had constructed a large pair of wings and I thought "hey why dont i make a B-36?" and so I did. I didn't have much tome to make it, however, so this one didn't have a very good nose, no three bladed props, and no jet pods. Thanks! |

How about either the AWACS or the refueling tanker
That sounds excellent! Plus with a 707 airframe I can modfiry it into the AWACS, tanker, cargo carrier, and ASW version. |

Great stuff! May I suggest a backdrop, and maybe save up for a better camera? But this deserves 50+ likes.
My next big plane project (after a few little ones): perhaps a massive RC B-29? Two motors. One powers two engines and the wheels (which are fixed in the down position) and I may give it a detailed interior, with the cabins and everything. |

Backdrop? How about a grassy field? Camera? Check. Got one for my b-day a few weeks ago. I took pics of my Mustang and Bf-109 with it. Unfortunatly, this model is no longer in existance (there's a picture of my destroying it) |

No, I only post final products. I believe that a WIP gives you an idea of what the thing will look like before it is finished. I may put wip pics on the final page. But when I get many of my parts back I will finish up the Stuka and perhaps make it an enemy plane... Like a Hurricane... |

Speaking of B-17s my father was a radar operator on a modified B-17 in the U.S. Navy in 1952. It was the forerunner to AWACS.
Now that's really awesome! I wish I could ride on a B-17 (but I'll bet that he probably got tired of the cramped cabin of that thing). I may have told you, but my uncle was the copilot? of a B-24 Liberator in WWII. He was shot down twice, and survived both times. |

Yes once the worked all the bugs out of them they where pretty sweet . The B-25 was pretty sweet to I got to climb through one at an air show once talk about claustrophobic. :-) I'm glad I was able to help!
The B-26 was a similar plane and those used to be "widowmakers" but they became the most reliable planes of the war. There is a B-25, B-24 and B-17 coming near my town soon, I may check those out. |

Check this out! The Skyraider it's always been a favorite of mine as it highly influenced another of my all time favorites the A-10 thunderbolt. The Skyraider has 7 hard points under each wing you could hang bombs ,drop tanks, rockets . I think this aircraft would really showcase your skills!

My grandfather was the gunner in front of the vertical tailplane. He said those engines were loud once they got up to full throttle, and did not help much when he needed sleep, because of the standby marathon flights for nuclear retaliation, which can last up to ten hours. |

Nice! The tiny one was awesome, this one is even awesomer! The scale is indeed quite big, it might lack details for such a scale but still amazing!
Thank you! I either had to go for details or size, so I decided to go for size. Even so, I did try to add some details such as the tail gun, some undercarraige struts, and I did try to make the bombardier window look realistic... enough. Thanks again! |

My grandfather flew one of these. It had jets on the aircraft. "Six turning and four burning" were often heard around these bombers.
Wow! That's cool that your grandfather flew in these bad boys. What crew member was he? I am going to upgrade it later with a bomb bay and the jets, amd perhaps mod the engines and cockpit a bit. 6 turning and 4 burning was commonly used, but normaly the planes acted more like this: 'two turning, two burning, two joking, and two smoking, with two engines not accounted for' |
