My song I chose to interpret in the bricks is Teenage Beat by the great Little Walter.
I am a Blues fan, specifically Blues Harp, and this is one of my favorite instrumentals by Lttle Walter. I chose to display my interpretation in a sort of crest symbolizing what I see when listening to this song. I was also thinking of one of those old I spy books when I created this
When I listen to this song, I imagine the alluring Islands of Hawaii, specifically in the 80's, when everyone who surfed had long hair and owned a Ukulele. I imagine the comforting warm sun beating overhead of the majestic palm trees as monkeys scurry up them to meet noble, tropical birds. The ever-prevalent crashing sounds of waves share the air with the gentle strumming of ukuleles. Vibrant, colourful flowers crowd the landscape, their sweet, subtle scents being pleasant to those who care to smell them. Underwater, crowds of curious tropical fish dart and weave in between people. Overall, it is very pleasing to the senses, and the sounds of nature are always there, waiting for you to enjoy.
See if you can find all the hidden objects!
I spy with my little eye,
Two birds and two monkeys.
A boy and a girl.
A Ukulele to strum,
And a crashing wave in a swirl.
I spy a sun,
Four bubbles and a vine.
A red flower and a blue one.
And a fish covered in sunshine!
I spy five roots,
And nine musical notes.
On the island of Hawaii
Can you see what I see?
The Ukelele, all ready to strum!
The red flower.
The blue flower
The brickbuilt palm tree with a playful monkey and noble parrot.
The female surfer.
The male surfer. Oh man! Look at that hair!
The glorious sun, shining it's warm ray's all over the island.
The fish down in the deep blue sea, it happens to be a Butterfly Fish!.
