Y-Wing / BTL-A4
Digital for making real
About this creation
Hey, from a short Holyday, i can send you pictures a friend of mine made from my real, y-wing, right after he tached on the last bricks, that arrive while i done trekking through bavarian forest, but with internet ( and an internet-cafe) its possible to upload them from here...

To complete my Minifig-1:40-Scale Series of Star Wars fighters, I built now the classic BTl-A4 Y-Wing, in dark-green painting. It's presently only digital, until midyear i want to make it real. And then it will go to an Lego-friend, but i still have my instructions.

My most refference

As, you see, I made more Rebel fighter real, but they are all behind glass in exhibitions: X-wing

The Y-Wing replacement, the B-Wing

Randome views:

the cockpit, sloping gently from back to front

At the bottom two Torpedo-lauching-tubes (between the front landinggear)

Console with Joysticks

simple seat

Ion-canon-turret, rotate-able

the first-technic-section

-with astromech-droid-socket

the white section includes the power-generator, while the sidewings are power-cells

the bottom-designe is not an 'burner'

massive Engines, i tried to balance between clean-roundness and greebles

an simple landingear:

complete Engine-view

very accurate conducting-tail-assemblies, domelike, wingcross, second smaller ring

artistic-shot

the rear white-section is the hyperdrive, rigth after the deflector-shield-generator

second randome-views

...And it will fly into new adventures...

I hope you had fun, with this Y-Wing.

May the force be with you!

Sorry, my Lego-friend, does not want the instructions to be chared, because he pays mine for this order.

Quoting Garry King Now this is a very sweet build. From LDD to the real thing. Impressive and the deathstar scene BRILLIANT. Great close up images. Keep them coming. Well done.

Quoting Alex Sonny Wow! The size and details are astounding, the engines are incredible and I think noone has ever paid so much attention to details as you did. Really great!
Thank you for the kind words. The details are real fun on this starfighter. The real part is nearly finished...

Quoting Paul Yperman One of the better designs i've seen of this model. Looks rather big. Keep on building
Thanks, that its not the worsed one! I hope it is not too big compared to my other fighters, always difficult to fullfill all scale-concernes.
