About this creation
"An Ancient Evil Returns"
Darth Spectra was born on the Planet Begeren in 3762 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin). Her parents were Sith slaves and died while trying to escape from their captors. This left the little girl who would become Darth Spectra free from bondage but lost and alone on the streets of a hostile planet. In time she became an independent racer, acquiring the skill set with amazing speed with the help of her Mirialan background. She quickly became an excellent pilot and a capable mechanic. Her sudden rise through the ranks of racers got her noticed by a Sith Sorceror, who soon realized her potential and took her on as an apprentice. The natural speed and grace which served her well as racer also allowed her to become deadly with a light sabre. Her strongest abilities lay in controlling the minds of others. After learning all of her Master's secrets she built her lightsabre from his bones.
Soon after she struck out on her own and mysteriously disappeared...

(8 ABY - After the Battle of Yavin) Silence, unbroken for thousands of years. Darth Spectra is held inside of a stasis chamber, with the decaying remains of the unfortunate troopers who like Spectra have been trapped in this long forgotten outpost, located deep within a giant rock floating in space.

Until an unlucky salvager falls within range of the outpost and is compelled to search the site. Before he even leaves his ship Darth Spectra's terrible mind, still deep in slumber, holds him fast and pulls him towards his fate. Like a zombie he walks straight to the medical bay and keys in the sequence necessary to free his new master.

Still within the stasis chamber Darth Spectra summons dark Sith magic to animate the dead trooper nearby.

Once free of the chamber Darth Spectra raises more troopers and her assassin droid and astromech droid both find there way to the medical bay and their master's side.

Having gathered together her terrible retinue Darth Spectra prepares to leave the outpost and set herself upon an unsuspecting galaxy.

Darth Spectra, a Mirialan Sith Witch of The Old Republic.

Darth Spectra's droids; An assassin droid rebuilt and repaired so may times it is impossible to identify the original model, and X2-C3 her battered astromech droid,

Undead Sith Troopers. A Sith Commando with light repeater, and two Sith Troopers with blaster pistols.

A wayward salvager. Now the human thrall of Darth Spectra.

A close up of the stasis chamber.

Two pics of the scene with out minifigs
Note: All characters are of my own design, but care was taken to ensure that they all fit within the rules of the "Star Wars" universe.

Thanks Hayden. I'm glad you like the figures. For me (almost) everything starts with a figure and the story they tell. You're buddy icon pic looks killer BTW. |

How do you keep it in with the "rules" of star wars, there are so many of them!? Anyway, great job on the set, the stasis chamber really looks the part. I also like the characters although I think the Astromech is my favorite.
Thanks Scott. Ah yes, the "rules" (I'm going to remove that needless set of quotations from my post). I spent a lot of time on "Wookieepedia" checking my facts. What a great site. |

Real sweet, and the mostly black scene adds to the evil feel of the build. I also like the combination of skeleton parts on the zombie troopers, even if they don't fit that well :)
Thanks for the comment Alex. |

I love how you built the scene, great colors. Nicely done!
Thanks Alex. I started out using exclusively black bricks, and while there was a certain coolness about it, the thing was pretty much impossible to photograph and all of the detailing got lost in the mix. I really like to use black and I'm slowly learning how to do so effectively. |

Sith Witch? Sounds like Chipwich… a snack product from my youth. Have you ever enjoyed the confection? Chocolate chip laden vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two cookie like wafers,... So good, it's almost a sin. Your sinister sithy sister evokes memories of this delicious frozen treat. I find the presentation to be a delight. The formal boundaries, the uniform shiny blackness (all very sithy) is enhanced by what appears to be a strict use of only brand new parts... you capture that "Death Staresq" look that is so in with the sith crowd. New (and good) ideas in the Star Wars genre are pretty rare, but rest assured, you have achieved that with this build. Just don’t ask me to take the astromec droid wearing a rice hat seriously. Attack! |

Thank you Micheal. Concerning the Chipwich, I have had many. I have a sweet tooth of epic proportions. Thank you for your kind words concerning my MOC and the quality of my ideas. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go buy some vanilla ice cream and Chips Ahoy cookies. |

Spooktacular Doc! I really like Sith Witch's back story. Especially the part were she makes her lightsabre from the bones of her Master. How cool is that! The figures look awesome . I just love the two droids with the mixed up parts. The two henchmen whose opposite legs are exposed bone crack me up. Excellent !
Thanks Clayton. I wanted her droids to look like the mechanical equivalent of the undead troopers. The assassin droid is one of my favorites. He's a high tech killing machine but he carries an old fashioned axe. We'll probably learn more about him in the future. |
