This is the Super Heavy Hover tank Iron Predator, as it stood before I had to abandon the project due to lack of parts. Descriptions will be added later
About this creation
I started this creation sometime last year, beginning with the turret, hence why that is far more complete. It still looks epic in my opinion, but I will never be able to finish it sadly.
I took inspiration from Brad Edmondson's M61A1 Cerberus Shock tank, although in some ways mine is actually even bigger. They are both future military, super heavy shock tanks. The Iron Predator was supposed to have up to 1.5 meters of composite and alloy armor, as well as a 319mm Electromagnetic Railgun as its main armament.
The front section. the catamaran hull offers greater levels of gun depression that a solid one, and also allows better stability on hover engiines
On the prow are two removable Sonic Disruptor cannons. These send ultra low frequency directed sound pulses into the ground in front of the tank, detonating mines. We've come a long way since mine blades on our older vehicles
27mm autocannons deploy from the two hulls, to sweep the Iron Predator's path clear of infantry

The entire, uncompleted hull
This is how the hatches work.
Notice the T shaped groove at the base. It slots into the turret allowing the hatches to slide up before opening
This slit is where it fits in
Gunner's hatch in the closed position
Gunner's hatch open
both the hatches open, showing the crew stations
These were prototypes for the engine deck grilles along with my new desing eagle eye laser defense systems
How the engine grills were made
The new Eagle eye lasers use a metalic piece behind the trans red to create that metalic red look that military lasers sometimes have.

Maybe LDD plus POV RAY could be a solution.
It is a huge shame, but unfortunately, LDD wouldn't work either. areas such as the turret front are held in place by those joint pieces from the lego action figures that have limited degrees of posability (20 degree incraments or something) and are actually pushed slightly in directions they don't want to go. This is fine in real bricks, but LDD wouldn't accept it. It also wouldn't approve of many of the technic or SNOT areas used. If you recall my computer is aweful and this would probably crash LDD! either way, I am sad, but thanks for the comment, and yes, after my exams, you will be seeing some cold war stuff.
Didn't comment on it yet but this is deserving, after all its by far your best work. An impressive leap from older creations into the realm of master builder, had you built this it would truly be something to gloat over. I wouldn't have taken it apart now that I can observe some of the techniques you used and the potential I can see. I can only imagine what cold war creations you must by cooking up if your skills keep improving like this. 5*
(Eagle eye lasers, and most of those designs incorporated "Vents, interior concepts, turret glacis, and the overall turret design remind me of the Cerberus but at the same time unique. I can easily imagine this having a large amount of extra systems like that tank, The rear "hanger" housing drones, and lots of other tech goodies hidden in the body.
Maybe LDD plus POV RAY could be a solution, or maybe you could always go back to it in the future. I for one have been wanting to build a futuristic hover vehicle at this scale after seeing this, but lack of parts would force LDD upon me.

It's a real shame you've had to give up on this, it's a truely amazing design.
When you get to the heart of it, it is about the fun of making it, and I had a blast building this thing. I loved overcoming all the little design issues so smoothly, but now it is gone I can think about cold war stuff after my exams.

Had D&C II continued I would love to hear in a CR that this thing would totally pwn my cheaply copied T-199s and Grizzly.
It's a shame this has to be scrapped.
Yeah, I wanted it to be more than just a big tank. I wanted it to render conventional super heavies obsolete, to be the nerve centre and spearhead of my armored assaults. It would have been unstoppable, but I have moved on. Thanks though.
