Stiletto and Claw Minmatar interceptors from the game EVE Online
About this creation
The Stiletto is a Minmatar fleet interceptor. It has bonuses that enable it tackle targets at high speeds while dodging all incoming sources of damage. It has always been my favorite fleet interceptor due to its excellent stats, plentiful mid slots, and attractive design.
From the game EVE Online: Interceptors utilize a combination of advanced alloys and electronics to reduce their effective signature radius. This, along with superior maneuverability and speed, makes them very hard to target and track, particularly for high caliber turrets.
Developer: Core Complexion Inc.
Core Complexion's ships are unusual in that they favor electronics and defense over the "Lots of guns" approach traditionally favored by the Minmatar.
The Claw is the Minmatar combat interceptor. It excels at close range autocannon combat, using its speed and low signature radius to engage targets in close orbit while taking minimal damage. I think they are a lot of fun to fly, but I haven't used them very often. It uses a similar hull to the Stiletto so I modified it and included it here.
From the game EVE Online: Developer: Boundless Creation
The Boundless Creation ships are based on the Brutor tribe's philosophy of warfare: simply fit as much firepower onto your ship as humanly possible. On the other hand, defense systems and "cheap tricks" like electronic warfare have never been a high priority.
This model took many hours of work. I originally started out with a much smaller model, half the size, but I decided to make it bigger to better and more accurately capture the shapes, proportions and details of the ship. The hardest part was making the central spike thing in between the two curved pieces of tubing. I feel that I achieved this in the best and most compact way possible. Overall I feel that these are some of the highest quality models I have created, in accuracy and construction.
Great work reproducing the original artwork at such a small scale in Lego. My favourite is the Claw, though this is probably because it is easier to see than the Stiletto. I like the way that you've worked out how to make the connection between the cockpit and the section with the wings.
