When I look at this, my only critique is that you should have used the white minifig heads at the top of the boots instead of the 1X1 round bricks and you should have added a black 4X4 round plate for his hat band. AND THAT’S IT!!! That is also me getting extremely nitpicking on a masterpiece. Did you have innovative part usage? Yup. Did you capture the character? Yessum. Did you realize your aesthetic vision? Uh, huh. This guy oozes pure fantastic. From the flowing hair to the spurs, he is amazing. I think the one element that outshines everything here is the lanky arms. There is no piece more perfect for this in that it defines his character and ready to draw faster than his shadow. (Love that.) This is something that all of us as contestants and judges can be proud to be associated with. You have managed to create an established character and add your own flair to him seamlessly. I see that the economy of parts and the three Mystery Pieces didn’t in any way hold back from fully realizing this wonderful work of Art! Well beyond outstanding! A winner in fact! Congratulations Tom!
WHITE MINIFIG HEADS! AND I HAVE AT LEAST 2 OF THEM! I should have thought of it, now I only deserve your contempt... Seriously, genius idea, I wanted to use a travis with 4 1x1 tiles but that proved too much piece-consuming. White head! About the black band, Marie suggested it but I was lazy rebuilding the torso with a structure piece less, although I think it would have worked... And also lazy lighting, taking photos and editing :-P Thanks a lot for this incredibly praiseful comment, and for the killer score! Count on me next year! See you in the winners' group... |

Well, I have to admit, I'm not familiar with Lucky Luke. I thought it was Woody with a white hat. But despite what I thought it was, this is just a wonderful MOC. It's the perfect 100, (and 2), piece figure. Everything comes together perfectly and there didn't seem to be any sacrifice you had to make to bring it to fruition. Has to be a front runner. Really excellent work and best of luck in the contest.
