So, this ship is really a test of my building abilities as far as spaceships go. I tried to blend the showing machinery and the smooth sides. i think it came out pretty well. As far as what this vehicle is for, I guess it would be a medium sized support ship in a battle. The ship's sides are made using the "cheap" method, meaning that there are plates attached to every side and hardly and bricks whatsoever.
As you both have mentioned, this ship looks like piled bricks. There are 2 reasons for this: one; the ship is supposed to look damaged, and two; I ran out of all my loose non-hardcore building red with this.
Yes,stormjay is right. It looks like a pile of bricks. If you try to make the space ship straight , it will look more lego-ish . I do not disrespect your creation but i am just saying that symetry is everything.
Not really a big fan of this... mostly because of the colors. I can see something like 8 colors running around on the MOC in no particular pattern or symmetry, and it doesn't look very good. I would suggest using just two or three colors for "armor", and a single shade of grey or black as structure/machinery greebles.
