Some time ago I was invited to join the mini perceptor contest. To be fair it is a character I've wanted to have a go at for years, but the engineering (particularly on a small scale) always seemed impractical.
One thing I noted on the original Hasbro/takara figure was that while he was a microscope, he was a mobile microscope (the original figure had caterpillar tracks?!) so I decided to keep the "mobile" element using some wheels instead.
Before I even consider a design for the competition I'd like to fiddle with this design a little more. For one thing I'm not sure I couldn't do more to disguise the arms in scope mode. I'd also like a tank and static mode ( similar to this guy...).
