Quoting Jose Rocha Hello Alan, I wanted to know how you did the Phoenix Creation, Hope you reply back, Thanks
If you mean my building process, I started with a prototype of the head and one of the wings using techniques from my bald eagle sculpture from over a year before. While building the prototype, I tried adding yellow and purple to the mix, but realized it would not work out. I used what I learned from the prototypes to build the head and wings, built the body, and made a fancy base to easily display the phoenix. All trial and error really. I hope this helps. Thank you for your interest.

A fantastically fanciful creation you've got there Alan :) You're stretching the bricks to their "limit", I appreciate people who build outside the box and let their imaginations soar. Plus, if you can translate those imaginations into Lego, well then hurrah for you ;) God bless and keep us properly, pleasantly, and perpetually stunned... ~Promar~

Very beautiful. I am from Grand Rapids, but now live in Ecuador. I remember volunteering at the GR public museum the summer after I graduated from GVSU. Anyways, too bad it wasn't on display exactly one year ago when I was visiting my family. Keep up the good work!

First I thought it was the use of colour, then I thought it was the shape and movement you've captured, then I saw the ring of fire revealing the event - it all works together perfectly. Lovely.

The way you did the colors on this MOC is just fantastic. For a second I was unsure if it was made of regular bricks, or trans bricks, or entirely specialized bricks.

Quoting Ben King Hey, I was there with you on the ceremony night, I didn't know you had a mocpages! I was meaning to introduce myself but I forgot about it. Anyways I was one of the individual 12-17 entries, and I just wanted to say this was my favorite moc from that night. Lovely blending of colors on the wings and just a beautiful bird. Great work!
Ben King! I was hoping to run into you as well. Your build was breathtaking and was one of our favorites on display there. However, I could not help but feel that I had seen it somewhere before. Now I know why. Thanks for the comment.

Wow! Really nice work. The rock work is great, but I am just spellbound by your color placement and the forming of the Phoenix. The wings are simply fantastic. Superb!

I never actually thought of making one myself, but now I do. You could have made the wings look more natural with curving them slightly (hinges, et cetera...).
