Hey, look, L.A. finally uploaded something that's not a revamp! 8D Yes, yes, finally a new MOC!

Well... To be honest it's not that new. I mean, it's the last one I finished, but I already uploaded the prototype in dA months ago...

Anyways, here you have, the Dead Vessel Santana! Huh, we're already at the back shot...

Let's start with the feet! The reason for this MOC was my desire to use all those brown parts I had and never used. And since most of them come from Viking sets...

Upper legs and waist. Those rubber bands are for decoration, they're supposed to look like ropes.

Torso. I'm SO proud of that carving! <3

Arms. The rubber bands here are for decoration, the design doesn't need them to keep it assembled (the first version didn't have those).

Santana has a lot of poseability, specially in the torso: two points of articulation and the waist is able to rotate.

Unfortunately, stability is another issue. It's more stable than Timmy, but still, it's quite hard to pose.

So this is the last pose I managed to get without stand it agaisnt the wall. =P

Now the main addition to the first version! The Support Vessel!

Excuse the lack of background, but both Santana and the Vessel are too big =/

You may be wondering, why do you call it the Support Vessel? Well, storywise, Santana feels forced to carry it across the seas, but the set actually can be disassembled in tons of accesories for the main build!

For example, here you have Santana with its main weapon, the Anchor Blade!

The sword itself. Let's be honest, the build doesn't actually need the rubber bands, but it's quite loose without them. Also, I like how it looks with them.

Another pic with the blade.

Next one is the Cannon Gun! One of my favourites, but unfortunately it's quite heavy.

The cannons rotate and work perfectly, by the way.

Another weapon: the mast of the Support Vessel can be used as a spiked mace!

Also, due to it's design, it makes sound when you shake it. Maracas!

And here you have the last weapon, the Boat Shield. REALLY heavy, so the MOC can't rise it... =/

The shield itself.

The handle, with Santana's hand to show how it's attached.

And last but not least, the sail can be used as a wonderful cape!

I made the sail with the same shirt I used for Argen's cape, but I dyed it using some tea leaves.

My favourite picture of the page <3

Comparation with an Inika build. As you can see, Santana's quite tall...

... in fact, he's actually my tallest MOC to date, even taller than Timmy!

Storywise, Toa would be around a minifigurine.

That's all! See ya!

Okay, so... WHEN DID THE BIOCUP START!? D=

I wasn't invited like the last years, so I realized it had started when I saw some entries... This Monday! I had, like, a day, to come up with an entry, and since I didn't come up with any idea... Well, I guess it was for the best. Probably I would have to quit again in August... But, dammit, I wanted to try! ToT

*sigh*

Well, about the MOC... It's one of those that doesn't have quite a big backstory behind. To put it simple, Santana is one of the earliest mistakes of the Great Beings in Spherus Magna. While they were trying to create the first robot prototype, some of them managed to create a power source in their underground laboratory in Tajun. The Great Beings asked some Agori to carry that power source to the robot, which location needed to cross a great lake, using their ship, the Santana. Unfortunately, the power source was even more unstable than the one to managed to use later, and exploded during the travel.
However, instead of killing everyone in the ship, the power source created an amalgam of souls, which was forced to take control of the ship and create a body to contain itself. Confused and trapped in that new body, Santana built a smaller version of the ship, and now tries to fulfill its mission of carry the power source to the Great Beings... Which it thinks it has just sunk in the water. So, now Santana wanders the waters searching for something that doesn't exist anymore.

Santana's idea was inspired by one of my favourite monsters ever, the Kowaiina from ep 16 of Yes! Pretty Cure 5. The name just appeared in my mind when I tried to give one to the build and I liked it. A not-so-fun fact: next week after upload the first version on dA, a ship called Santa Ana crashed in the closest sea to my city =/ What an unexpected, sad coincidence...

Well, hope you like it, dears!

That would conclude the MOC's page, but I have some things I want to tell you. First of all, I would like to make you a bit jealous =P

Look at this great amount of sets! Those were some of my birthday presents. All of them. And yes, there were more, like clothes and anime/tokusatsu merchandising. Love my family and friends ^^

And now, the big question. Are you interested on watching more comics of Nergetia's Will? It tooks a lot of time to make the pictures (and now even more, since we have redecorated the house) and edit them, and I don't have as many time as before (that would mean that the chapter wouldn't have a proper schedule). Also, since every chapter was all battles, I feel like people wasn't actually quite interested on them. That said, if you said no, I would make an "Etherian Special Week" or something like that to show you the MOCs that would have appeared on the second half and redesings of old characters, instead of waiting for the debut of the MOC in the series.

And that's all. Thank you for your time. ^^

Take care, dears, and good summer!

L.A.

My my, what a warm welcome I had! Thanks a lot for your kind comments, dears. I'm glad you all liked the "little" Santana! ^^
Quoting X ~ Given the inspiration, I can't fault the skinniness. But it's really the worst part about this, otherwise, nice moc. I do however really find the added system elements very nice. They do spread the ship vibe well.
I actually love skinny builds more than bulky ones, but it seems that opinion doesn't match with most of the MOCers around =/
Quoting Cameron H. OH MY GOSH! You uploaded him! Finally! I was about to kick you out of KSG for withholding this guy! Heh heh... This guy is absolutely marvelous. (Captain Marvelous. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger reference here!) His height is astounding, and you took that as an advantage to add so much detail! Only two nitpicks- firstly, the steering wheel head looks a bit... bland. I understand that it's a sea/pirate-themed MOC, but the steering wheel as a head just doesn't quite click with me. Second, the fingers. They're a bit too curved and spindly-looking. If you could make them a tad bit bulkier and a tad less curvy, then that would be nice. Other than that, five smiley-faces! Magnificent work!
Ha ha, glad you like, it dear! I was waiting for your opinion about this one. <3 Yeah, I actually have mixed feelings about the head too... I really like the steering wheel as face, but in the other hand I find it a bit plain too and I have other design that I like a lot, but would need another bucket part... if I get Chi Mungus probably I'll redesign it. The fingers were designed to hold the weaponry, but I have to agree that they look a bit weird when not posing or holding anything... But, didn't have any better design using my brown parts! I'll try to work it in the future, too.
Quoting Mohamed Marei Love this! What a way to be back!! This is one of the most unique concepts I've ever seen :D Love the execution and the weapons, namely the Anchor Sword. Overall, this is a great creation :D Welcome back, and hope this time is for good :3
Technically I come back with Toa Sehder... But yeah, I hope I'm back for good this time too xDD
Quoting Toa Ketros Lord of Twilight I like this moc but the one thing i don't like is the use of rubber bands but thats a nitpick
Don't worry, they're just for the looks. The build doesn't need them ~~
Quoting Commander CJ Potter I love this L.A.! A ship-being that feels obligated to carry a large ship across the seas...I love that idea, And while I agree that he is tall and a bit skinny it looks like what I would imagine a being like this to look like! I love the Anchor Blade and the Cannon gun both due to the originality of both weapons.....I guess Im a sucker for ancient type robots sort of like steampunk.....Anyway the shield looks cool too but its weight makes it look good more as a stationary portable cover sort..... But all in all Id give it a 9/10 for the sheer Amazingness of this build....Its good to see another one of your recent builds sir and I hope to see this character maybe in later endeavors....I shall try to start posting again soon but with work I cant guarantee anything.....Anyway agin nice job and farewell for now! Commander CJ Potter
Recently your comments are the ones that I enjoy the most, dear. <3 I'm really happy to see that you like this MOC that much, I actually don't think it's one of my best or even of my favourites, but I like the concept and have tons of brown parts I never use, so... xD That said, I'm not good at steam-punk or ancient robots either, dear. Believe me, I tried a lot before Santana xD Thanks for your kind works, dear!
Quoting Matt. (Oblivious the hero) When I saw you have uploaded a MOC I was really happy ! You're not dead ! Now, about the MOC: this MOC is certainly one of your most original creation and I totally loved the fact the weapons could be assembled to make a boat ! Like always, great work ! (Also, you can check my latest MOC, you'll certainly apreciate it ;) )
Not like dead, but haven't got too much to upload. Actually two Morerta I built long time ago and some Etherian things, aside of that I didn't build anything worthy (or didn't finish them). Glad you like Santana, dear! But, too bad, I already checked your MOC! ;3
