Something I made and posted on flickr, but will also post here for those who don't follow me there (and also because of the upcoming WW2 vehicle contest)
About this creation
The KV-13 (Object 233) was an experimental Soviet medium tank created during World War II. It was developed on the KV-1 chassis in the SKB-2 design bureau of the Chelyabinsk Kirov Plant in late 1941 early 1942, as a "universal" tank, intended to replace the production of T-34 medium tanks and KV heavy tanks at the same time.

The first prototype of the KV-13 was made in the spring of 1942, but in the fall of that year its tests showed its lack of mechanical reliability and the need to strengthen the armour and the need to equip with the new three-seat turret. While in December 1942 began production of two modified prototypes in design which takes into account these requirements, work on the KV-13 as a medium tank was discontinued in favor of continuing the T-34 manufacturing. The further development of the project using two modified KV-13 prototypes led to the creation in 1943 of the IS-1 heavy tank.

Just like that, my KV-13 will also lead to the creation of the IS (in the works right now!). I just wanted to post this here quickly since Jerry Temple's contest is coming up and I want to finish my IS in time (or maybe something entirely different, who knows?)
Anyway, I didn't make too many renders of this thing, here are the comparison shots with the real life photos I found on the internet.

And just because the first shot doesn't do this tank justice, here's the main render again, just for you

hey hey hey hey

And as always, the LDD file is available down below. Thanks for checking this out, sorry if I'm in a hurry but I am.

It's fascinating to compare your MOC with the original photos at the same angle. It looks like a very good representation, especially at the scale. I like the history that you included too: thank you!

Quoting Matt Bace Absolutely superb job on the shaping. The comparison pics really show how well you duplicated the original. I'm even impressed that you could match the viewing angle so well.
The viewing angles took some playing around with it, but I did try to make it look as accurate as possible.

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head Wow, those side by side comparisons are something else! Very accurate! I think you'll do just fine in this contest. Also, does a minifig crew operate this tank?
No, it's a bit bigger than minifigure size. If anyone remembers those Jack Stone figures, it's about that scale.

Quoting Loek M(vacationing) Create a slightly bigger turret, put a big gun in it and voila, KV-1S. Nice work though. Not very experienced with these in-game, not very interesting, is it?
It's the least interesting tank to play as it leads nowhere (from IS to T-43), but it does have 120mm of frontal armour and goes 50km/h.

Quoting Stephan N A Brilliant work Alex. The chain guide is perfect. The shape is made 100 percent. Simply a perfect job. And best luck for the contest
Thanks, I know what you mean, I try to make the treads look as realistic as possible - even if that means making them sag down on the guide bogies.

Quoting Commander Cold Very detailed. You've got this contest in a bag.
Thanks, but I wouldn't be so sure, there are plenty of talented builders out there, even ones who make tanks in LDD.
