HLM 100 - Heavy Lift Exoframe
..somebody has gotta clean up after a giant robot battle... guess who?
About this creation
The newest entry to my Mech Factory theme and inspiration for my new CONTEST , here is the HLM 100. Designed to be the civilian workhorse of the mecha age. Great for construction and warehousing duties. And of course clean up...somebody has to clean up after those giant mechs when they scrap it out. This model was inspired by the power loader from Aliens, on steroids of course. Please watch the video on Youtube for more info!

Nice to see a mech which isn't a military unit. I love the big shoulder guards made from those Technic parts and the bits that come out of the back of the feet to stabilise everything. I wonder if the toes should be bigger to help keep things table when the machine picks up something heavy, like a broken tank?

You should build some xenomorphs for that!

Dude this is seriously awesome! I love those feet . I can here the sound they would make while walking. I'll bet this could kick some serious alien queen butt! Brilliant work!

Looks similar to Emmett's mech from the LEGO Movie, but better! The only thing I don't like about it is the fore arms, something a bit more 'traditional' would look better IMO. Otherwise looks nice, I like the feet.

Cool! I'm working on my entry now. This kinda reminds me of emmet's construction mech from the lego movie, but in a smaller scale.

Very cool! I like the use of Bionicle and regular parts - a mixture I don't have the guts for yet. The hyper extended back feet are great and it has a butt valve! A great build.

Arms and claws are from aquanauts sets from the 90s ...been wanting to use them for years!
Quoting Stephan N So here I can only say. Absolutely brilliant parts use. The upper body is super Designed. I like the feet with the arms to the back very well. Interesting joints on the upper arms. of which set are they?

I like how this is a civilian mecha, which I do not see a lot of (thus making it unique). Is it able to hold any types of optional equipment, like a giant plasma cutter of "jaws of life"?
