Second entry of models to be used in the upcoming MegaMOC 2014.
First shown is the stock version.
-And now for the racing version;
Gulf-colours rocks, but those mudguards...?!
What to DO about the mudguards¿?
1) Change to normal blue, as the Gulf colour-scheme also exist for blue and dark-blue cars. (Against; A blue car already exist; the Viper)
2) PAINT the 4 mudguards in medium-blue. (Against; Not a purist tecnique)
3) Leave as is. (Against; Ugly)
4) Not having a medium-blue car. (Against; I want a car in Gulf-colours)
Edit; 5) As suggested in the comments (thanks guys!), one could do orange mudguards, which would keep the colour-scheme look intact. -But no Gulf-car ever had orange wheel arcs (methinks).
Lovely work! Not sure about the two cheese slopes at the very front, the way they're positioned gives it a round-ish effect. I wouls replace them with two 1x1 plates and 1x1 tiles. The side is incredible, beautifully shaped, and the rear is pretty good too! Top job!
I love how you shape these cars since the previous model. Should consider the rare orange overfender and changing the taillamp the round tile since the headlight brick has the round hole to represent the signal indicator.
Love it, it's great to see the sloping sides featured. The only thing I would change is the cheese slopes at the rear, I think it would look better having them switched round so that the rear slopes upwards. Regarding the colour problem, I'd just leave it as it is. I've been forced to do the same with a project of mine, it's annoying when the piece you need doesn't come in the colours you need!
Seriously cool, Absolutely brilliant design. I'm torn between them, the red one screams all ferrari but the gulf colors looks really great too. And i agree, while it might not be accurate the orange fenders might make it look more complete :-)
Lovely couple of Ferraris! My favourite is of course the red one, That´s pure Ferrari, I like the Gulf version too. The Wheel arches are available in orange, I know it is not true to the colorscheme, but it´s the best compromize i can think of, and I guess it would look good. The Darkblue colorscheme won´t solve your problem.
