The Guardian has returned to once again stand between you and the path to the land of the dead! This is a revamp of what was once my largest MOC (but now is my third largest), the Guardian of the Gate!
About this creation
V0
V1

“It is the Guardian of the Gate: a colossal juggernaut of cold, insentient determination.”
-Narrator, The Contenders #26

The Guardian:
The Guardian of the Gate was a gigantic automaton built to protect the Gate, a mystical phenomenon on Racta Magna that bridged the world of the living to the world of the dead. The Guardian itself, being simply a machine, had no personality to boast of, though it was recognised for a frighteningly immutable and indiscriminate determination to defend the Gate from those who might harness it. However, its lack of intelligence made it an easily exploited target, though few would dare on account of its deathly glowing eye.

The Guardian using its ‘deathly glowing eye’. (Contenders #26)

The Guardian was born out of the Great Beings’ discovery of the Gate, an ethereal portal buried deep within Racta Magna; they defined this portal as a pathway to the afterlife, and thus had the potential to grant the power of resurrection. In order to prevent this, they sealed the Gate in a deep labyrinth and forged a titan from Protosteel to defend it. This titan remained dormant for many years before being drawn into the open by the minions of Thanatos, who sought to destroy the Gate, as it interfered with their master’s designs as a God of Death. Naturally, the Guardian opposed this, and clashed with Thanatos within the complex of the Gate, a battle that ended with the Guardian, the Gate, Thanatos and his minions being trapped within a black hole.

The original aesthetic of the Guardian. (Hunt for “God” #33)

Several years passed since the Guardian’s imprisonment, all the while the machine fed on the energy of the black hole, changing shape drastically and becoming stronger. It was finally released back into the world along with the Gate by a Makuta named Reshak, who had been attempting to free Thanatos for his own purposes. The Gate was now on the surface world, with only a feeble frame left to protect it; the Guardian immediately tracked it down, only to lose the deactivated frame to Thanatos’ minions, who now worked for Reshak, and the Gate’s key to a Toa team named the Contenders. Both Reshak and the Contenders took their respective items to the city of Racta Major, to duke it out over the whole; the Guardian, of course, joined in said battle.

Tracking the Gate. (Contenders #13)

After the battle had ended, the Guardian took the Gate and travelled to a place where none could follow. However, for reasons that are unknown, the Guardian would eventually return to Racta Magna, only to be caught in the midst of a struggle between the Contenders, a criminal gang from the Makuhero Belt, and a group of ancient creatures known as the Gostoks. The Guardian managed to protect the Gate in this particular instance, fighting off any creature who came near, though the Gostoks would eventually trick the Guardian and take the Gate, in an attempt to resurrect more of their dwindling species. The Guardian, in response, set out after these thieves.

Fighting off the Gostoks. (Contenders #30)

Eventually, the Guardian tracked the Gostoks to a camp in Racta Major, where they had allies with the Makuhero criminals and an array of other villains to form the Platonic Justice; the Contenders were in a midst of a battle with them, one that the Guardian once again disrupted, destroying as much as it could to get to the Gate. However, it was too late; Mordath, one of Thanatos’ servants, placed a spell upon the machine to hold it while he destroyed the Gate from within. As the Gate was destroyed, the Guardian, without purpose, simply shut down. For a while, it seemed that that would be the end of the Gate and its Guardian.

In the lair of the Platonic Justice. (Contenders #36)

It took the span of a year or so for the Guardian to turn back online, as the Gate suddenly found new life in the undead being named Shadonax. It tracked down this new being, and Shadonax initially prepared for hostility; however, the Guardian could not distinguish the Gate from the Faux-Toa, and so pledged allegiance to him. With the Guardian’s help, Shadonax conquered Racta Major and established himself as their leader. The Guardian was established as the city’s new Gatekeeper. The robot remained at its post for quite some time, helping to defend the city from the Contenders when they attempted to liberate Racta Major. Shadonax would send the machine to defend the city from Thanatos and his minions, who also attempted to free the city.

Battling Thanatos for the last time. (Contenders #44)

The Guardian was finally destroyed once Thanatos deflected its laser blast back into its own cranium.

And here he, or it, is! I feel confident that this build is not only more solid looking but also more interesting.

Quoting L.A. Miranda You should have more attention, those last MOCs I have seen from you are really impressive and have a lot of work and effort on them. This "little" fella is a magnificent example of use of silver parts for armor, you didn't let any gap without cover and you used every single armor/weapon part in a very effective way. The Zamor launchers, the Ehlek and Nuparu claws, the HF wide paws... I love this MOC so much, I can't decide which part is my favourite. The shoulders and chest look great, but the legs have an amazing "flow" in their structure, the arms are well-covered and the head has an unique armor design added to the famous Nitronian head. Though, the Guardian still has a sole, unique thing that bugs me: the hands. The design is unique and they look great, but I don't think they match the Guardian. The MOC design and development is perfect, the hands' issue is just an opinion of mine =P Amazing work, dear. Keep like this, you're definetely improving a lot your creations and becoming one of the greatest Bio-MOCers around! ^^
Why, thank you, the praise is very touching. I see what you mean about the hands, I'm still trying to find a way to improve on that. Thanks again, L.A.! :D

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus Interesting. how did you get the video to work? I have done it in the past, but things seem to have changed.
Well, You just go to share on a video, click embed, and make sure that the HTML that shows up has "I frame" (the newer version)in it, as MOCpages has switched around; it will accept the new version and reject the old version. Considering the newer one is the one that appears first though, you shouldn't have to worry. Then just copy and paste the HTML on your page. Hope that helps, let me know if you get any more problems :)

Fantastic improvement over the previous version. I'm really liking the armoring. It makes him look solid and more mechanical.
