Over on flickr, there's a nice little contest being run over in the starfighters group where the goal is to build a small starfighter fitting inside of a 14x14x6 stud box. The starfighters are tons of fun to make and don't take to long so I encourage all of you to go and give it a shot.
Here are two of my entries:
The ED-10 Condor
Blending into the sand streaked plains of it's homeworld, the Condor strikes with zeal on any who would engage. Brought forth from ancient ruins, the fighter contains unique technological advancements that keep it one step above the game.
And the White Banshee:
Designed with speed and agility in mind, the White Banshee is the first strike of choice for the many a mercenary band. With wings locked in attack position, the craft is capable of dives, rolls and turns many pilots can only dream of.
I dig both of them for different reasons. The banshee looks agile and fragile in a fight, but the Condor looks tough yet less maneuverable. I see both going up against each other and not knowing the outcome. Love that both styles are vastly different and yet from the same visionary. Outstanding!
