Soo.... There was gonna be a decent story to go with this awesome (and half reposted D: ) build, but everything I think of is l@@@me. So I'll just give you my own narrative without Drazard talking, and then at the end you can tell me what you thought of the build! :D
One Week Before the Assassination of the King.
This was gonna be sometime in the tourney, but there's a huge continuity mistake, as the Tounrey ended in my pre-rank build, (the throne-room) but this takes place after that, which happened...After this. (but I finished this and tore it down months ago so I can't retake pics. :/) So anyways. The "Story".
I Told George I knew of a blacksmith in town. My dad used to talk about him, so I knew he was a pretty decent one. That's where we're going. :P
George straggles behind, and Ivo asks what's up?
But George has his mind on other things than answering an orc.
Cool passing-into-the-shop shot. (And look around in here, I tried to add a little more stuff. :D )
George finds that the Inn-keeper isn't a girl that'll fall for his golden arm charm. ;)
He asks what'd he miss, And Drazard tells him we're deciding on a sword for him to use in the tourney.
He says this one looks great and gives it a swing, (insert background laughter)
Drazard says put it back. (more laughter if you please...)
Dwarfy says how about this.
George has a romantic moment of happiness as he wraps his golden fingers around the golden hilt of the golden sword, which glows at his touch.
He immediately takes a swing at the street, causing a middle earth-quake, and sends stones and people crying.
Dwarfy says what the heck?
WHATCHOO DO THE STREET IN FER DOOD?
Drazard hears a man beckoning him down the road.
He'll be right back. :3
He looks up into the hood and sees it's none other than *drum-roll* Frerick!! Who then tells him get in.
He says to look in the hay and Drazard pulls out a boat-load of swords with a note attached.
He opens the note and it's from his dad who heard he's on the right side of the law now and maybe could he find it in his heart to forgive him?
Oh and that the swords are for his new troop.
He pulls out a blade to admire it, and examining it sees it's one of the best blades from his dads shop.
As he looks at the blade his gaze shifts to the house above the Smithy- and a CYCLOPS girl putting a pie out to cool.
Then Drazard gets out, Frerick leaves, and Ivo comes wandering back saying that it's all sorted.
I have no idea what they were going to say here, but I'm sure it was a deep and meaningful conversation.
He then sees the girl again, (TELEPORTATIONALCYCLOPSWUT) who is now sweeping.
He asks her name, and it's Lily.
Dwarfy appears and tells here to get on with her duties.
And that if she's so excited about meeting another cyclops invite him for tea. (or something. It's just an excuse to get the rest of the build into the story. Which I didn't make. :| )
She puts her broom down, having finished, and tells them to follow her.
Laaaterrr Alternate Laaaterrr
Gentelman he is Drazard helps her with here duties. Which basically just show off the build, so I won't say anything there. :P
And yes the well does work. :3
She wakes up Ivo, and then they all go inside for tea.
This is a really impressive build. I absolutely love how you worked with two layers of ground, and the top layer is especially beautiful. I think others have mentioned the roof, so I'll only offer one suggestion: You know that bare, brown area alongside the road? Well, instead of using it for a sidewalk, I think it would have looked good as a front yard with maybe some grass or display items. Right now, like I said, it looks kind of bare. All in all, though, this is an awesome build. I'm so glad that you're back to building.
Nice build! The upper floor of the building looks great! The lower floor is pretty good, but the 1x1 round plates stacked look a bit weird and the arch is plain compared to the rest of it, maybe use a custom one. The roof is kinda plain, maybe it would be better with less studs and more variation. Black might work better, too. I love the landscaping colors - the mix of sand green and dark green works well, as does the transition from brown to dark tan. The rocks are really simple and bland though... Overall great build, definitely one of your best.
