Prowler Ace
Well, it's been a long time in the making, and it's taken ages to get to the family PC to render. But the Prowler Ace is now here. Hermernonomnom!!
About this creation
Originally, this was going to be Prowler's answer to the Porsche 911 and Corvette C7, but After many phases of designing, I quickly realised all my designs weren't...subtle enough. So I took a step higher. And the result is this, rivaling the likes of the Ferrari 458, McLaren 650S and the Lada Niva.
Also, I seem to recall one TLCB stating many TFOL-created vehicles are home-brewed nonsense with fantastically impossible engines and dimensions and said they were generally a bit naff. So with that in mind, I tried to make this as realistic and believable as possible.

Now on Lego Ideas! Click here to support!

Here we have the front. Which went through more design processes than I care to count/remember. Very angry.
Prowler Ace - Front.

Now the side. Love that roof, although it's a little low. Eh.
Prowler Ace - Side

And the rear. Which, to be fair, is just a modified Radic butt, but I tried to make it sleeker, shorter and more elegant. I mean, look at the exhaust! It's normal!
Prowler Ace - Rear

Oooh! This is new! A birds a view. Splendid!
Prowler Ace - birds eye

Mmmmm. Still angry. I like angry front ends.
Prowler Ace - front ariel

Not a bad stance, no?
Prowler Ace - Rear Ariel

And now for the functions....
Prowler Ace - Active Spoiler down

Active spoiler! Also has suspension (independent at the rear) and steering.
Prowler Ace - Active Spoiler up

Not to mention that everything opens like that.
Prowler Ace - Openable goodies

I really like that engine cover.
Prowler Ace - Thing are openings everywhere

Now for the engine. This is (in theory) a 4.5 litre V8, producing 600BHP. Not bad for a 1.2 tonne car. Good enough for 3.1 second 0-60 time and 205mph top speed. Maybe.
Prowler Ace - Engine

Seats engine and the roof. All three, I'm quite proud of.
Prowler Ace - Details

Rendered interior shots have never worked, so we'll have to deal with this. The interior is smooth, but I'm a disappointed with the lack of details, but hey.
Prowler Ace - Interior

Paddle shifter! Yay!
Prowler Ace - Drivers side

Don't worry Senator! it has a functioning glovebox!
Prowler Ace - Glovebox

Huge thanks to Harry Gravett for the technique for the engine cover!
Engine cover techinique

The last few MOCs, a couple of you guys said how much you would like to see this in real bricks, I considered putting this onto Lego Ideas. Thoughts?

Thanks for viewing! Hope you enjoyed!

They aren't simple LDD screen shots - their rendered images. I've answered similar questions lower in the comments, you should be able to find an answer there. = )

Quoting Krištof Pučejdl You got my full feedback on Ideas you know. To prevent repeating myself, I'll shorten it. Design: 5/5! looks really good. Thecnical functionality (rigidity, playability and whatever) 1/5. I guess it could 'somehow' hold together in real but would be fragile like ancient vase, not talking about some drive :) Good luck to your further projects. If you find harmony between your great design and reason in construction, we can look forward to some great MOCs!
Thank you! Yes, I wish there were a function on LDD that showed rigidity by highlighting strong areas in green, acceptable areas in orange and fragile areas in red. That would eb useful.

Quoting Digital Dreams Great looking car. Congrats on getting blogged too, there's hope for us digital MOCers yet! Not sure about your lighting though, but I of all people know how truly difficult it is to get ideal looking lighting on renders - a small change of position can sometimes make a huge difference. Lots of nice tricky angles for a digital MOCer too in there :)
Cheers DD! Yeah, I wanted lower light so the renders would be quicker. Oh well. Thanks again!

WOW!!! Sam, this is by far my favorite car from you. Not only is the styling amazing, but it is entirely refined. Subtlety wins every time. This car sits right at the edge of "in your face" and because of that, it draws me in further to see the little details (ice skates = genius.) This rings of a natural practicality that even the craziest of hyper cars have to abide by. Not only would I love to see this in real bricks, but I would definitely throw it a vote on Ideas. Perfection!

Quoting Harry Gravett I was meant to comment on this a while back, but I have been wrapped up with essays about atoms and drawings of cameras etc - sorry! Well, this is just fantastic! I like that you have kept this one more simple than the Radic as it is the 'baby' Prowler, the simple exhausts and engine cover etc really work well with this one. Finally, congratulations on your blogging - thoroughly deserved :D
Hey, no worries Harry! Yes, I pleased that it looks more simple than the Radic, despite, in places, being more technical. There may be even smaller Prowlers (Hot hatch, called the Pocket, because why not?), but not for a while yet. Thanks so much mate, I still think there whole Blog thing is crazy!

I like the "eyes" on this car and the way that you've used 2x1 cheeses to edge the roof.
