Category: "Eagle Eyes"- Build a scene showing your specialized forces (or scouts) sneaking behind enemy lines in order to gather intel in preparation for the upcoming battle.
When I first saw the category for this round I thought of multiple ideas, such as forced perspective, more Macbeth and just lots of castle related things. But I then thought back to last year's round three in this same contest. That round I was given a pirate themed category and I preformed quite poorly which resulted in my elimination. So with this in mind I decided to revisit pirates which I have avoided for the past year to try for some redemption. The boat was definitely the biggest challenge, just as it was last year. I used the same sort of brick built hull technique but added some sloped sides inspired by Halhi.
Nice details! Historically speaking, I don't think a ship with that type of sail would have a bowsprit unless the sail was attached to it, and the cabin in the stern seems a bit too tall. Besides that, the hull looks nicely shaped and the water looks great too!
Wow! The boat is, of course, the centerpiece of this MOC, but the little fort and different shades of water are also incredible! The ship is amazing, especially the hull. The only weak point in the MOC is the rear of the ship, but it still looks good! Good luck!
