Battle of Coruscant (MIDI-Scale)
Anyone remember this epic fight?!
About this creation
Hello everyone!

At first I have to clarify that this is actually not some brand new creation of mine. More like I made a complex render of my MIDI-Scale ships and made some editorial improvements :D

Since I have these two amazing Star Wars vessels completed, I desired of making such a picture sjowing them in their epic fight scene from the very beginning of Episode III.

I still haven't encouraged myself to get Photoshop and some regarding skills, I ended up using Gimp image editor, which is actually not the best tool for such a work. I do realize that my final result is perhaps not the best and most real looking render ever made but still I'm quite satisfied with that.

Following picture shows the plain render (took more than 10 hours to be completed) with 3 Venator Star Destroyers and The Invisible Hand.

Being inspired by The LEGO Movie, I used the lightsaber bars to make deadly turbolaser cannonade between both ships.

Both featuring ships are my projects on LEGO® Ideas and also separate creations here on MOCpages to be found in my MIDI-Scale folder. For more pictures and details, click on the ships name above following pictures.

MIDI-Scale Venator Star Destroyer

MIDI-Scale Invisible Hand

I hope you like this Battle of Coruscant scene as well as both MIDI-Scale ships. Big thanks to everyone who supported, also please don't forget to vote and comment here on MOCpages :)

Thank you!

Krištof

Woah, thats a cool scene! Well build! Midi scale is definately the best choice for huge starships. Both of them earn 5/5! Greets, ron.

Thanks mate!
Quoting Lee Muzzy I did not know you could do that with gimp.
Honestly, its perhaps the least suitable editor for such a work :D I only used it because it was the only one I had currently on my laptop.

Quoting Michael K. I hate to ask, but could you post the lxf file? I'd like to make this in real life.
Hello Michael, it's ok that you ask, you are not the first though. I'm sorry to say that I answer no, not today. As I have these ships as projects on Ideas, I plan to create and share the instructions once my projects reach some decent number of supports. Thinking about 1k on the invisible hand and 2k on Venator since it's way more complex design. I hope you understand that and I wish the day comes soon :)

Thanks! Took me like 2 hours to make it into some form worth sharing :) I'm just a little unhappy about that background, especially the droid tri-fighter in the top right corner. infortunately I haven't managed getting rid of it.
