M.O. Round 1 - Does this smell funny to you?
I wonder if I'll be the last entry? Well, as usual, I procrastinated until the very last minute, and build most of the structure, all of the details, and the space monster this afternoon. And boy, was it stressful. Hopefully my hard work paid off, and hopefully the pictures will load by midnight! Enjoy!
About this creation

I recently received some old Classic Space sets that my grandparents found in their attic, so I knew I had to incorporate the theme into one of the categories.

“Hey Jeff, does this thing smell funny to you?”

Forgot to take some more pictures of this cycle, but it looks pretty cool IRL.

This slides out when you open the door, so it's easy to close again.

Why yes, it does have an inside.

Well, it's 11:58, so no more writing for me! Hopefully you can figure everything out. Didn't finish the bottom floor, so sorry for that.

Quoting John Daniels Really nice work here George. The round tile base is rather effective, the monster, exterior, interior, and figs all look excellent. And I am envious of just about all of the other contestants, you all left time to photoghraph your builds! That will be my goal in the next round, besides moving on, of course. ;) Good luck to you in rnd 2. ~John
Thanks bud! Honestly, I took these photos less than an hour before the deadline, so I didn't spare as much time as I should have haha. Good luck to you as well in Round 2!

Quoting Stephan N Absolutely Fantastic. Your outdoor area looks really good. And the base is perfectly decorated. A dream for every Spaceman. You have very good invasions in relation to coherent details. I could learn a lot with you. That Alien is awesome ..... great just great. Cool I think the two-wheeled car?. Beautiful work.
Thanks!

Quoting Thomas of Tortuga Well, first off, when you're in a contest, never point out your own faults- it makes the judges' work way too easy. BS the description and pretend its the greatest thing ever. Also, if you don't wait until 11:58, you don't have to write the story in comments :P Parts of the build are fine, but nothing stands out. The monster has too many large plates, and the landscaping has way too many of those round things on the ground and not enough detail. You can do a lot better.
Yeah, I'm just too honest. It's more of a curse than a blessing. The build was just difficult in general, because if contained a lot of my weak points, such as rock work, giant beasts, and large builds. As for the pebbles, I ran out of rock pieces, and I couldn't just have a plain base plate in the front, so I thought it might be a good idea to test out the pebble technique for myself. Glad to hear your opinion on it. You're right though, I could have done better, I've just been out of the game for a while, and I couldn't spend as much time as I should have on this. If I make it to the next round, I'm definitely putting a good amount of time into my entry, and show how capable I really am! ;)

Ok, so the story doesn't really make sense because I didn't get to finish writing about it, but pretty much that girl is a giant turdmuffin who likes messing with people and doesn't really understand limits, as shown here. The bottom floor looks kinda bad because the 2nd floor was supposed to come off more smoothly and leave the back wall behind so you wouldn't see all that junk, but it obviously didn't, and I didn't have the time to fix it. I wanted to put some furniture in the bunk rooms, but didn't have time as well. Also, you can see the Commander and Red Space guy with looks of annoyance on their faves, because they are fed up with all of the cra.p that that girl puts them through. Anyways, thanks for looking!
