As I sit here 5 days in - sleep deprived, in desperate need of a shave and shower and a new little life sleeping beside me .... I think, I sure hope she is going to like Lego! LOL!
May I present my greatest creation (oh an my wife had a little hand in it too).....
Rebecca Christina - the new heiress to my little brick empire! Born Sept 20th - a little early but healthy and wide eyed.
Guess I will be adding a lot of pink brick to my collection in the future!
Note the main pic is a part of a centerpiece I made for her baby shower a few weeks ago!
My MOCcing will likely slow down a bit shortly, for obvious reasons but I do have a backlog of creations that need to be posted in the coming weeks and a few projects close to completion including a large (transforming) purple dinosaur!

Congratulations on MOTD Chris! So the 2 year MOCiversary of this MOC, oops, your little girl, is getting close. Does she enjoy Lego as much as you do? I would guess you are starting her out on DUPLO?
How did I miss this? I knew you had a good reason for no MOs this year but how did I not see this? Ah well, by now, life has settled into a blur of sleep deprivation and wondering where the money comes from to buy all those things you didn't know you needed until you had a baby! I survived that chunk of time with mine and have now moved onto defending my bricks from little inquisitive monsters who want to undo my sorting and steal all my baseplates. Congratulations Chris, all the best to you and your family!
Wow, nice part usage! ;D
Chris, that is some really amazing news, congratulations to both you and your wife! You guys seemed really excited about it at BF, but now it's actually happened and I hope this brings nothing but happiness for the both of you!
Your daughter is certainly lucky to have a father as cool and friendly as you are, and I certainly hope we have another female fan in the makings here. ;)
Hope to see her sometime at BF!
Many congratulations to you and your wife, and I hope & pray for a joy- & Lego-ful childhood for Rebecca! Becoming a Dad is a fantastic experience and privilege, in spite of the loss of sleep. All the best to all of you!
Well, you have about a month to make her a transformer costume out of duplo bricks for Halloween. You'll have to figure out the specifics, but I bet you could find a way to make it and to even make her transform, too. Until you get around to starting that project, Jubilous Festivities must commence! Congratulations.
Oh so THAT'S why you had to bow out of the MO. Makes TOTAL sense now. Dude, CONGRATS! That is so awesome! She's adorable! I remember when my little bundle arrived (for any YFOLs reading this, they're brought in by storks). It was without a doubt the happiest day of my life! You're in for a lot of sleepless nights and you'll become accustomed to the smells soon enough. Oh, and don't wear anything that you want to actually keep... Oh, and wait until you see just how far projectile "stuff" can travel. You'll wonder at the marvels of physics on that one. Good luck my friend and keep us posted! ~ Chris.

Congrats on having a kid! (and congrats on having the foresight to have a backlog, lol)
Congratulations to the both of you, Chris! Makes me think back to when my youngest was born almost 18 years ago. The nights with little sleep and having to go to work the next day but, always excited when getting home. Welcome to the roller coaster of fatherhood! :)
Congratulations on you're bundle of joy (sometimes). I've also been sleep deprived for a week now as my second baby girl was born just over a week now.
I also started something pink for the eldest and a purple for the second a few fire applicances.
Okay, I guess that qualifies as a GREAT excuse to pull out of the MocOlympics. Although, since you're already awake, you could build. XD Congratulations Chris! We'll be looking for mocs from little Becca shortly. I'm sure that she'll be building G1 Transformers as I'm sure it's transferred through DNA. (Instead of GATC, it's LEGO.) ;)
Wow! Chris it's your greatest build yet. It's stud-less (obviously lots of snot) :-) and no sharp corners to be seen anywhere. Congratulations Chris she's a real cutie , she must get it from her mother! Ha ha ha
