I'm back with another new moc; a new member of Dread's new gang; a new version of the Hero Factory Villain Voltwhip! Nope, I won't let this guy go!
About this creation
“I’m an out-and-out bad guy; I know that. That’s what society apparently wanted me to be- so here I am!”
-Voltwhip, The Contenders #25

Anthony Spark (Voltwhip):
Anthony Spark, better known under the alias of ‘Voltwhip’, was a particularly nasty criminal from the Makuhero Belt, and one of the founders of the Platonic Justice. Voltwhip was constantly charged with electricity, which he typically channelled into the whips he had for hands, making him highly dangerous. He always held a carefree demeanour, though he was always quick to irritate. Highly aggressive and lacking any moral character, Voltwhip proved himself quite a terrifying foe.

Anthony Spark was a working-class bot raised in a Makuhero slum. As a result, he faced much aggression and took unrelenting physical injury in his formative years. Filled with anger and in need of an advantage, Spark saved up to fund an upgrade, making him able to take any physical stress. On the first night, out testing his new form, he was struck by lightning, electrifying his body and damaging him psychologically. Deranged, he ran further into the heart of Makuhero City, quickly gaining an extensive criminal record as a street fighter and a murderer. It was here that he gained the name ‘Voltwhip.’

Voltwhip’s original form. (Voltwhip, the possessed)

Soon enough, he was apprehended by the Hero Jack Lupus for his crimes, who cut off his hands in the struggle. He remained in Villain Storage for quite a while; he was free for a week or so during the Villain Breakout (where he had the whips applied to his hand by a friend) before being re-arrested. Voltwhip was properly freed four years later by a decoy of the renowned Hero RaptorTalon. This was orchestrated by the villain Dread, whom Voltwhip began to serve along with two others, Bipotron and Tumbler. They stole a shuttle and set off into space to help Dread find and kill his nemesis, Mary Windbird.

Being broken out of jail. (Contenders #18)

They arrived on the planet Racta Magna and went to the city of Racta Major, where Windbird was hiding, to demand that the inhabitants, a group of Toa, hand her over or they will take her by force; it was an offer that the city refused. Under Dread’s orders, the gang stormed the city and attempted to take her by force. Voltwhip fought and defeated Jack Lupus and a Toa named Raxonax, and managed to steal Windbird with the help of Tumbler and Bipotron. However, Windbird was stolen back at the last minute by a Toa named Krode. Dread then ordered the gang to split up and seek out enemies of Racta Major to join their cause.

Voltwhip in Racta Major. (Contenders #22)

Voltwhip set off, but soon realised that he was being followed by Raxonax and Lupus. He hid momentarily, and then attacked them. He managed to hold his own against them, eventually separating Raxonax from the fray and focusing solely on Lupus. While Lupus initially had the advantage, Voltwhip soon overwhelmed the hero and almost managed to kill him. However, Raxonax soon reappeared riding a great beast and managed to cut off Voltwhip’s whips, forcing the villain to retreat. He found a group named the Torm and allied with them. He took them to what became the lair of the Platonic Justice; while there, his severed whips were replaced with blades by a Matoran called Doctor Forgen.

Voltwhip vs Jack Lupus. (Contenders #25)

Voltwhip was then summoned to Racta Major by Dread, who wished to have one last chance in reasoning with the Toa. This merely resulted in more fighting; Dread managed to kill Jack Lupus but was unable to catch Windbird. Voltwhip then witnessed an angry Dread murder Tumbler soon after the battle; he was at first unsettled, but he soon got over it with nihilistic indifference. The group returned to the Platonic Justice, but the camp was soon attacked by the Toa. A great battle ensued, which the Platonic Justice soon began to lose. The army dispersed, leaving Voltwhip and the rest of the gang to challenge the Toa and Windbird’s crew.

Looming over Windbird. (Contenders #31)

During the battle, Mary Windbird tore one of Voltwhip’s blades from him and used it to stab him in the neck; this caused the villain’s body to overload, killing him.

That's all folks!

UPDATE 29/12/15:

I made this update a while ago, and only just got around to showing it. I just added an extra joint in his legs and gave him different feet, as he was looking quite short and underwhelming with the more normal looking legs.

Quoting Quartz Roolz nice! now i don't do hero factory mocs (i have only done 1 since savage planet...oops) but this guy is sick. nice integration of both hf and bionicle parts, and also the best use of that mask. quick question: what is the trans blue piece that has the spikes coming out of it on his shoulders? i think its a mistica visor piece, but i never owned axalara or the other one that pohatu had.
Thanks man! Yeah, that's the Mistika Visors, they only appeared on the large vehicle sets, so quite rare pieces really.

Quoting RaptorTalon (The Hero factory nutcase) I like the gold but the whips need to be longer and thiner but still great
Thanks! Yeah, the whips are a tad short, I did that mainly because they would droop around all over the place, but I guess that is part of the look :P Thanks for the comment!
