About this creation
2014 MocOlympics
Good luck to my awesome opponent, Ranger Elegost.
Here are the two working links to the pictures I based my train off of.
Link No. 1
Link No. 2

I don't really know what to say except that this was an extremely hard build for me. I did try my best and I am very happy with how the train/locomotive turned out.

Good luck to everybody in Round Two!!!

Classy and almost steam-punkish, very well done for someone so young!

Joshua, this is exemplary of the early locomotives. So named because you had to be out of your mind to stand anywhere near one of these beauties when it was at full steam. Nine times out of ten, rather than move along tracks they just simply detonated. An outstanding build; however, Ranger's nailed the elegance of the proceeding era. The era when they detonated less frequently. Still, be proud of this as it is fantastic; but, be more proud of the mark you left in these games. Spectacular show my friend!

I'm not judging this bracket; I'm just here for the view, and it's very nicely built. While Ranger made a very fine model, I think you understood the meaning of 'early locomotive' rather better... whoever wins, I'd like to thank you once again for your outstanding sportsmanship.

Well, Josh, it was close, but my vote goes to your opponent. Although I really liked both of your steam engines, I felt his was technically a little stronger than yours. However, impressive work and thanks for your great show of sportsmanship! If this contest was based on sportsmanship alone, you would have won. Thank you for your entry and good luck!

Joshua who have no idea what good sportsmanship you have shown in this competition by allowing my build to enter :) Thank you so much my friend :D Once again this is a brilliant build, I especially like the way you used a barrel for the chimney, great technique and the great build overal :)

Good day Joshua, or actually night here. Well, as with all MocOlympics, we have a bit of a sticky widget here. Allow me to explain. Your opponent, Ranger Elegost, posted his entry a moment after I closed the window to enter his moc. Thusly, he exceeded the deadline. Not a problem if us judges were very strict about time. No entry = no go. However, we do and will always allow a bit of a grace period for such stragglers or, as in your case for Round 1, a simple mistake. Ranger has asked us nicely to be admitted. We are fine with that decision; however, we feel that in fairness to YOU, it should be your choice as well. You hold his fate in your hands as well as your own in this case. If you allow him to enter his moc, it could eliminate you from the MocOlympics. If you disallow it, it will guarantee you a spot in Round 3 by default. I feel bad throwing this bit of responsibility on your shoulders, but I want your input as it affects you directly. Thank you for your consideration in the matter and please get back to us as soon as possible seeing that Round 3 starts Friday night. You can either reply here or in the Mocolympics thread. I'll keep an eye out in both places. Thanks again, Joshua.
