About this creation
MocOlympics 2014, Bracket 4, Nursery Rhymes, Ring Around the Rosie.

My opponent Dominik.

Ring around the rosie...

The sick seemed to stream endlessly in - each branded with the gold ring around their arm before entering quarantine.

Pocket full of Posie...

The doctors were authorized to use experimental drugs, yet the violent outbursts of the sick made this hazardous.

Ashes, ashes...

We burned them all, the bodies.

We all fall down.

Nothing worked.

Quoting matt rowntRee Lego and plague, what could go wrong? Although I'm not a huge fan of minifigs, and Dominik's brick builts were outstanding, you captured the feel that the category was calling for. You get my vote, just.
Thanks Matt, I look forward to round 3.

Quoting Topsy Creatori That lighting really sets the mood! And the idea is made even more scary because it is tooo close to reality! Great take! :)

Quoting Clayton Marchetti Wow! You really nailed this category perfectly! I love the cremation chamber . The lighting throughout conveys a mood of dread. That last picture with the father and son peering out the window and sentence is chilling to the core. Brilliant!
Thank you Clayton, I'm glad the mood's right.

Quoting David Roberts A serious, dark, prescient model, what with events in Africa and increasingly common antibiotic resistant bugs. A MOC with a message and a warning? Very well built, lit and photographed too.
Yeah, I'm gravitating towards this style lately. Hopefully not too prescient... Thanks David.

Quoting Tim S That sure is a dark, but very accurate interpretation. Great take on the category and well done with the lighting as well.
Thanks Tim. I wish I'd had time to get the lighting more clinical in the quarantine room, but as it stands it came out alright.

I like that way you took this back to what is was historically, (namely, a plague that killed people without cure). As said, very impressive!
