Ages ago I listed as part of the 100 piece brick challenge I listed among my future (proposed) projects an Arcee design and a Rodimus design.
At the time I had no real idea what I was going to do for either, but needed to log somewhere that they were on my "to do list".
Last month I managed to get around to finishing off Arcee and it got me thinking that maybe I should get around to some of my other (planned) project ideas.
Over the last week I've done a lot of R&D on Hot Rod designs based loosely on his G1 toy. Most were abject failures and not worth completing.
One design however looked promising, if nothing like his G1 model. This would be number 8.
After uploading number 9 I decided I was unhappy with certain aspects and 10 soon followed. One of the major differences between the two designs was that it was capable of holding a gun...
...because the plan was to add Firebolt, his Target Master partner.
As with the original g1 toy the gun does fit on both modes, but also like the original, it does break up the streamlined shape quite a lot in vehicle mode.
Because of the way I designed the hand, I was forced to create two methods of attaching the weapon, and effectively two weapon modes. One a triple barrelled turret, the other a double barrelled blater.
